I didn't know about this project, it's cool to see an alternate retro art style pack so far along, and I love that it'll also boost performance. I look forward to this, keep up the awesome work guys!
my heart has officially jumped out om my chest with those that have come foward with new contribs... it brings a tear to my eye. ALSO. NO ONE do the western wear, Hideous_ is the author, and has called it. FURTHERMORE anyone contributing to the hats give me your dropbox id, i will give you the link to the most recent version of the pack, which is on dropbox, and you will have your own folder in the dev folders for you to store your work. i would prefer to do the weapons, but as i am finding it hard, what with school and such, i will have auditions for the weapons, they have to look good in first person as well as third person, as they will be shared because of the c_models soon to be the dominant versions.
I have wanted this pack for so long, cant wait for it to be finished!

Me too. I'd love a TFC-ish styled TF2. As in graphics, not textures or weapons.
I've been using this on my laptop for the longest time, it's great, keep up the good work! For some reason on my laptop the engy and scout aren't using their low poly versions, the pistol doesn't animate and some weapons like the grenade launcher are using their normal models but just slightly off (you can see the reload grenade floating in midair), but that's probably because the version is outdated or something. If you could post an in progress download link that'd be awesome.

Ok, I managed to make an actual shape with Google Sketchup. But since I am half decent in Hammer and I could use class models to make good proportions, are weapons models OK if I compile them with propper?

Insaneicide I'd knew some people from the TF2 Emporium/Modellers from Facepunch will contribute to this pack. Whenever I dont need to create something for PVKII or when im done with my personal projects Im willing to contribute again too. I still owe you some viewmodel arms.
