That could mean he was texturing many items at once and he got one finished.
That could mean he was texturing many items at once and he got one finished.
but using simple deduction we can assume that he means only that
but using simple deduction we can assume that he means only that
What deduction? There is no evidence of him working on multiple things nor only one thing. He gave a vague statement about making progress on something and this could be multiple things to a single thing.
inb4 1 page discussion about what tony meant
It was pretty obvious by how underdetailed that was that it wasn't finished. Tony's a better texturer than that.
slowly it begins.
Whoever UV'd it has made the ammo chain too high res
It was pretty obvious by how underdetailed that was that it wasn't finished. Tony's a better texturer than that.
Yes, he's a good texturer with normal styled weapons, I didn't know how skilled he was in this, believe it or not, he still has a style to fit to.
No texture
One question, in the video; the grenade launcher is different from the one in the mediafire DL (latest). Why is that?
Please dont let this thread die, is there any good progress being made?
Yeah, has any progress been made as of late? I really want this pack out.
Uhhh, did a thing but then I tried to make the heavy laugh for the other one and his mouth wouldn't open. He'd just have an awkward smile (imagine :> on heavy) and there are no low poly doves yet so v:v:v
It was pretty obvious by how underdetailed that was that it wasn't finished. Tony's a better texturer than that.
I am a better texturer then that, trust me I'm an expert at these things. But it isn't finished obviously, I'm making slow progress as I am going through some tough times and I'm finding texturing is getting a tad bit boring, but I have to keep up my texturing due to me going to texturing university.
Any updates on this?
I don't think we should redo item icons
I think we should do them after we finished all the weapons.
But they're meant to represent what the item is, for the same reason that TF2 uses a nice high res render of earbuds instead of the shitty low poly ingame model
But they're meant to represent what the item is, for the same reason that TF2 uses a nice high res render of earbuds instead of the shitty low poly ingame model
Pretty sure anyone who knows what this pack is or is going to download this pack when it's done will know if an icon is the laugh taunt or director's taunt, etc. You're going to run into an even worse problem with the duel badges vs the date badges (which look exactly the same, except with even less quality) than taunt icons, I'd imagine. but hey I was just messing around with model viewer/paint.net anyway.
Nah it did look cool and I liked it but practically it's going to an extend an already very far away release date, I reckon
hey peeoples, sorry for the stalled progress, i havent been at my computer lately, and cant for a bit, i will try to work on something for the guys workin their tails off i just hope that they will like it.
Anything that hasn't been done yet? I'd like to take a crack at a weapon or hat maybe.
snip, wrong thread
So what's the progress so far?
Whatever was in that preview release
Where's the preview?
This looks like it would go great with the Team Fortress 2 Classic game mod!
This looks like it would go great with the Team Fortress 2 Classic game mod!
whadya mean TF2 for TFC on gamebanana (formerly fpsbanana at the release) yeah, i plan on it, that was me too. that was the precursor (dyslexic cant tell if i remotely got that word right) to this skin set, the first project i made, because at fpsbanana, one does not simply request into. in other words, since it seemed i was the only one that wanted tom tallians models in TFC, i had to do it myself, and thus my start in goldsource started, after beta 9, an idea came into mind, and i consulted revenant100, both of us unsure on weather this would be relevant to anyone other than those that needed a performance increase, the WIP was called TF2 performance pack, most of the followers didnt like that name (at the time the wip alone was the most commented.) we had a vote, a few other names and bam, we now have the TF2 oldschool pack, aaah, brings back memories. to a time wher graphics didnt matter, where a raycast world with sprites was the best solution for gameplay, where simple textures that were a single color and the models glitched vertex normals were the shading on the textures.... oops, sorry everyone, remembering the days when FFVII and wolfenstien, doom, reined supreme, too bad i could only remember the last half of that era of gaming.

This explains the folder's name...
performance pack was a way cooler name
