Wait so the only people getting the rift promo hat are the ones who pre ordered the DEV kit?? If so, I'm out of luck and anyone who has that is gonna be rich.

Wait, seeing the oculus rift has two screens to make it 3d and such,that would mean when playing demoman you'd see only with one eye :v:

I imagine playing with only one eye would still have some effects. Gyros and such.

When's the cutoff date for getting the dev kit? I kinda wanna pick one up for a dumb project idea.

I'd rather wait for the consumer version than end up with a half-assed WIP one that might not even be compatible with new software updates.

I wonder how safe these VR goggles are? They will probably come with some sort of health warnings. I know that any prolonged exposure to 3D is bad for the eyes and can cause headaches but then to pair that with 1080p screens only a few inches from your eyeballs and to play for hours on end? This kinda seems like a big lawsuit waiting to happen.
