Here is an odd question, why did they never make styles for the Purity fist? Switching arms would be great.

You know, a thought occurs. If the secret diary image has been updated, but there's no visual change... might there be something hidden in the file?

[/QUOTE] I'm just going to tl;dr this. Every single item in the game just got a few lines of useless code to denote if they can be strangified or not. The diary is not special at all in this area and you're encountering faggot traders again. Basically every item got the tag "can_strangify": which makes me think that we're dealing not with the possible strangification of every item in the game but with a programmer who doesn't know about using attributes on a case by case basis, seriously goddamn the schema's heavy enough. Funfact, there are no items with "can_strangify": false, The diary is not special yet.

Handsome Jack (Claptrap is great too but Handsome Jack is really one of the most memorable d-bags in recent memory), Chell with Potato-GLaDOS, Sam, Brock Samson, and Ash. That's actually a fairly decent array there. In terms of who I would've really wanted, though, Ellis or Nick from L4D2 would've been a good pick. I wouldn't complain if it turned out Claptrap is in instead of Jack, though, because I imagine bizarre romantic tensions between him and a potato and... I'm stopping imagining, ugh.

It feels Valve's catering to the people who plunk down hundreds of dollars just to get their pretty hats than people who actually want to play a game. It's annoying for me to have to hunt down items or rely on trade servers since Valve loves giving me 600 axtinguishers instead of the newest item (I'm still missing shit from 2011!) I also just don't care for MvM. Something's wrong when I had to rely on custom map servers to enjoy TF2 as the stock stuff does nothing for me. Of course, maybe it's still good, I don't know. What I'm seeing seems to be the same stuff from a year or two ago. I wouldn't mind that Wheatley sapper, but that's not gonna make me reinstall TF2.

If mvm didn't do it for you, you're probably right not to re-install, then. We did get three new weapons in December, but any other actual gameplay additions are in the new mode, and at this point, I don't think "new weapons" are still the draw they once were. Outside of the huge exception of mvm, 2012's additions seemed less like the kind of thing to get you to reinstall as they were the kind to keep your interest from waning. I loved the year, but stuff like Pyrovision isn't the kind of thing that you'd be advertising to nonplayers.

Maybe the diary is actually the Necronomicon. Maybe you can use it on a soul to make it usable year-round.

I have a bug where picking up a health kit whilst at full health will refill your sandvich / buffalo steak sandvich, can anyone else confirm this? Apparently I'm really dumb and this is an intended feature, how did I not know this?

It's a shame Jack's mask doesn't have proper lightwarps, well, the ones that make it look like the real mask.
