Oh God, imagine Portal 2 puzzles with the Oculus Rift
Oh God, imagine Portal 2 puzzles with the Oculus Rift
I'd like to picture Mirrors Edge.
Also, imagine if you were playing Audiosurf (I believe you can go into FPV in there). Imagine how it feels like when there are a thousands of blocks coming straight towards your face...
To have full 3d experience while viewing this video you could cross your eyes so left and right images form a single image, pretty nice for a few mins, after that it would lead to head ache and such.
excellent advice, telling people how to get a fucking detached retina.
holy fuck i might buy this just for being able to see your body.
I'd recommend do add to the op that other video. Also, does it feel that crazy/extreme/can't find proper word when you rocket jump?
You know, I wonder if you can see miscs on yourself in this view, like the Kringle Collection or the accessories.
You can, I read it somewhere. You can see your unusual effects and sir hootsalot. Can't really provide a link, though. But I'm pretty sure you can.

This made me giggle harder than I should have
Good god. This shit would get freaky
Good god. This shit would get freaky
The guy who uploaded the Rocket jump video uploaded a surf demo. That must indeed be scary. Skip to 1:24

If it really is that intense, getting ambushed by a puff'n'sting pyro might seriously bring a heart attack.
[thumb]http://i.imgur.com/SDcCgjC.jpg[/thumb] Damn you scorching flames.
It'd be like watching Meet the Pyro on every map.
I wonder why all the uploaded videos have been with vanilla loadouts.
The guy's new to TF2, sometimes he gets achievements and probably has no weapons.
I guess doing a FaN jump would be quite difficult?
I guess doing a FaN jump would be quite difficult?
Imagine trick-jumping with the Soldier.
how much will the retail version be?
When you move your head around (for instance at some points you look over your shoulder and clip with the Rocket launcher), does the character's heads move in the same way? (so for instance, you look over your shoulder, the Soldier's head also moves to look over his shoulder).
how much will the retail version be?
no one knows. but will most likely be somewhere between $200 to $300.
Seriously doubtful
combine it with track ir, dunno if its compatible with tf2 though
how much will the retail version be?
I heard that it'd be enough for the average gamer to afford. But no one really knows at the moment, it wont be the same price as the devkit though.
Most think it'll be around half the price of the devkit (~$150 USD), considering the components of the device are around $100 altogether. Still, that's pretty crazy cheap compared to getting extra monitors, a new headset and a headtracking kit by themselves.

Kinda reminds me of Mirror's edge.
I like how the Scout's foot slides against the surface while surfing, and also how his arms wave while flying, really makes it more immersive.
I honestly thought that he was going to literally splat against the wall when he failed going through the hole.
would be fun to play on CTF_convoy with the oculus.
Well, pretty much convinced that its time to sell my Hydra. I never really liked it anyway. Also, who wants to be the first one to play Cry of Fear with it?
