If anything, i'd buy it to play Euro Truck Simulator 2.
Since most of us aren't gonna try this thing out for a while, I wonder just how immersive the Oculus Rift experience is I'd like to try Saints Row 4 if it got Oculus Rift support, just so I can leap tall buildings and soil my pants on the descent
Just Cause 2 would probably be pretty crazy
Sonic Generations would be pretty wild with a camera angle built for it. Speed's hard to convey unless depth is involved, so...
would be fun to play on CTF_convoy with the oculus.
Too bad the servers that run it are always empty now.
Too bad the servers that run it are always empty now.
More like there are no servers
More like there are no servers
Fugs Convoy is still running, however it has space variants occasionally. That nobody plays.
I've played a good round of convoy on a furry pound server once. That was ages ago, though.
Too bad the servers that run it are always empty now.
good, set up with other rifters and take over a server, so you can all enjoy it as a group of people on the rift, so you can avoid jumping onto a server full of competitive randoms who don't have rift while you're getting acclaimated to the device yourself

I'm going to start saving money for it. I have some questions. When the OR gets released, You have to order it via internet or you can buy it in retail shops (like a console)? The price, I don't care, it is like 3000$ Mexican Coins here.
that thumbnail :v:
The Oculus Rift allows you to [sp]GAZE UPON ETERNITY[/sp]

I see so many people trying to compare the two, but the only similarity is that they both tried to be VR. The VB was barely even headmounted due to the controller, the fact that it was red and black ruined the whole "immersive" thing and it wasn't head tracking.
How do you aim with this thing?
How do you aim with this thing?
theres a couple different ways. one way has you use the headtracking to both aim and look. but the best one seems to be looking with the headtracking and aiming with the mouse. with the oculus rift, aiming and looking arent tied together anymore.

at least the framerate was constant, albeit prone to tearing
I'll just stick to the good old mouse and WASD, thank you.
I can't wait to play TF2 Ware on that.

Well, now I have to split saving for this and rent. Fuck. This is gonna take a while. But hot damn that looks amazing. Now to think about what AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! would look like on this.
Left 4 Dead 2 should get Oculus Rift support; just imagine how terrifying Witches and Hunters would be Then Left 4 Dead 1 fans wouldn't complain about lack of viewmodel legs :v:

Dare I say... headcrabs? :v
I'm wondering, does turning your head makes your character turn his head the way you're looking? I ask because that would be hard to know if someone is looking your way or not when say, you're a Spy approaching from the side to backstab him and suddenly the guy shoots you without a warning. What you didn't know, he was looking at you the whole time.
