@DeltaEcho To run your script i need a Registred copy of Sandboxie?
Does anyone know when the item Cap resets?
@DeltaEcho To run your script i need a Registred copy of Sandboxie?
No. It's just an interface for the bat files. Or yes if you want to use buttons numbered higher than 2.
Does anyone know when the item Cap resets?
February 30th
No. It's just an interface for the bat files. Or yes if you want to use buttons numbered higher than 2.
So if I want to launch 4 Idle accounts at the same time i got to buy the full Sandboxie?
My little brother wanted more drops, so I installed this program and ran his account on an idle server while I played for like 2 hours. During this time I pocketed a Pithe Helm and a Berliner's Bucket Helm (after I nabbed a Cheiftan's Challenge earlier). I opened up his running account and found that he had landed a grand total of zero hats. He was quite peeved. (speaking of if you want any of these hats PM me I have no use for them).
I'm sure that a majority of people here do it for personal gain. I just go on my local server and give away free hats :3 I guess you could make money but there are people willing to trade scrap for weapons. As long as this goes on there isn't really much of a market. Other than SourceOP.
So if I want to launch 4 Idle accounts at the same time i got to buy the full Sandboxie?
Or if you have a 32bit computer there is other ways...
You guys who are givin away hats, i would be very happy if i receive one =D
Or if you have a 32bit computer there is other ways...
Im using x64 Win7 =/ BTW I found an older version of Sandboxie (3.46) that is "full workable" in the x64, but every time i try to run more than one extension of Steam i get this error: http://www.sandboxie.com/index.php?SBIE2305 Anyone know what to do?

It is just better to buy Sandboxie. No problems of it and it's only $14 for a year or something.
i just put everything in a 32bit virtual machine.
But you normally get setup with a virtual video card on them? How is it possible to host it on them :s?
I keep getting this when I try playing the game. even though the file size limit is set at 99999999 kilobytes.
I keep getting this when I try playing the game. even though the file size limit is set at 99999999 kilobytes.
You haven't setup the sandbox's correctly.
The "not enough memory" comes is generated by some settings that are copied from an existing sandbox to a new one. Creating a new sandbox "requires" (or not) you to select a previous one as model. Thus the error appears, but not always. After a few checks, you can "preview" this error if you create a new sandbox with settings from an existing sandbox. When you check the full access settings, you will see in the dropdown menu of "Add a program" these: Add a program (default) steam.exe (the valid entry) !steam.exe (the error generator) This error is easy to fix: - delete the sandbox you've created for said idle account; - create a new one, making sure to modify the "full access" settings accordingly, by adding the steam.exe of the respective folder, then adding the common steamapps folder; - make sure you have enough space in the said partition; - start client and own that idle :P
Updated the OP a little since so many people fail the full access part.
I keep getting this when I try playing the game. even though the file size limit is set at 99999999 kilobytes.
You missed some configuration from tutorial. Give full access to the HD Steam is installed, and uncheck drop admin rights.
Gurkenpirat, feel free to add my script to the OP. I'll get on working on the non-.bat system when I have 3 days of spare life. Also I will try to put all the idle accounts in the taskbar on a button so it isn't all cluttered.

And some questions/requests/suggestions: Can you make the buttons and groups customizable? Like custom names because I named all my idle accounts. Variable group size would be nice too. Single shutdown. Reboot in normal mode. I don't get it to be honest. What is it for? What is Automated/Manual setup?

It is in a future update once I can get the Clear ram.bat to work. Or since I have learned how to put intervals in-between the launches I can make the .exe Variable group size as in you can launch 5 accounts instead of the 8 specified? Reboot in normal mode means that it will restart TF2 so you can trade the items to a account. Automated/Manual setup is just the setup options. They will most probably be removed since it will be a bit to hard to do it. If I want to add all this customizable stuff I will have to rewrite the script. So maybe once I have the new system in place I will. Here is the version with the fixed code. http://www.mediafire.com/?3dogefkpy2gnwbj It was only 4 lines...

I don't start TF2 in normal mode anymore because of the Steam trading feature. It also lets you trade more than 8 items at once. Usually I transfer all items to one account via Steam and start one account in normal mode to craft stuff. Maybe I should update the OP with that. Well take your time with changes.

I can easily remove the normal mode thing if no one else uses it. Shutdown is noted and will be added in the next version. I've got the launching with the application figured out just don't know how to add the parameters to it... I have no idea how to make it 9 accounts other then me having to code in 400 different lines so it shows certain things.
Nooch, did you ever think about how you could probably single handedly crash the TF2 economy?
Nooch, did you ever think about how you could probably single handedly crash the TF2 economy?
No he can't.. This dude named Pink Taco can. He is pages of Max Heads and Unusuals. I want to hear his story. [editline]21st December 2011[/editline] Fuuuuuuck. So I removed all the gcf from the Program FIles (x86) > Steam > steamapps folder and I tried to update. I get error "G:\Sandboxie\Start.exe The system cannot find the drive specified." Which bat do I edit for that.. and what do I edit it to.. Ok .. ok.. I'm going to go eat some breakfast.. and figure this out. I can do this.
Nooch, did you ever think about how you could probably single handedly crash the TF2 economy?
Only way i can crash the TF2 economy is sharing my findiings with the community and encouraging others to do as i have done. Granted my blueprint is a little left field (LAN Heat), but what everyone else is doing in center field (Sandboxie) is fine too. And yes! one of my main objectives is crashing the TF2 economy, yet i don't think i will. but it sure is fun trying (and toasty warm)
I didn't get an update Steam to close down. I removed the gcfs and all. [editline]21st December 2011[/editline] Hey hey.. it worked. [editline]21st December 2011[/editline] Nevermind.. validating Steam cache files.. can someone help me.. What do I edit the update.bat to update Tf2 correctly?
No he can't.. This dude named Pink Taco can. He is pages of Max Heads and Unusuals. I want to hear his story.
Pink Taco would probably only affect the unusual traders, which is a pretty small amount of tf2 traders. But if you released hundreds of ref and hats, it would affect pretty much everything. I still think doing a raffle of 100 hats on TF2R and seeing how much positive karma you get would be interesting. Too bad delivery would be impossibly long.
Unusual or not..it's the same economy. They're trading hundred dollar bills. You're trading ten dollar bills. I still need help with this idling stuff. What do I edit update.bat to?.. I did it and nothing happened.. but a flash of cmd.
add a pause at the end, see what it says
So this is what I have: start C:\"Program Files"\Sandboxie\Start.exe /box:theonegamefreak /silent "C:\Tf2.Idle\TF2.Update\Steam.exe" -Login username password -low -applaunch 440 Username and Password censored. I'm paranoid. What do you mean pause? I can't find anything in the latest readme that says anything about the update.bat. All it says about updating is this, nothing about update.bat.. .:I screwed up the updating?:. No worries! Simply cut and paste the .gcf files from steamapps onto your desktop. Then click Update TF2. This will try to install TF2. Don't do anything. Close down the update steam and cut and paste the files back into the steamapps. Then click on Update TF2 again and it will update.
I still need help with this idling stuff. What do I edit update.bat to?.. I did it and nothing happened.. but a flash of cmd.
I have no idea what the problem is, so I didn't respond. I don't use an update.bat
Also, I just noticed that Steam has a feature that lets you add exactly how much you need when purchasing items. (I bought stuff and it offered to add $24.90 instead of forcing me to get $25) Anybody know if it's possible to get premium by getting a cheap item and adding only as much as you need?
yea like
@echo off cd C:\ pause

Canyou type it for me so I can copy and paste it in.
