except it is against the rules. you can only have one account according to steam TOS. they have every right to ban every single account we own.
If Valve ever does anything about people having lots of ALT accounts, I'm sure they will do the decent thing and just ban all the ALT accounts and spare the main. (As in the account with the most premium games, on which the person spent the most money on.) Banning the main would just be an asshole move, which doesn't sound like Valve at all.
and this is the #1 reason why Valve and all of the other companies (EA) that allow you to buy their games but can NEVER... EVER sell/lease/rent or give away. Once you buy these games (or acquire access to them) they become a lifetime lease that you have absolutely zero control over. VALVe has it rigged to they are the puppet master and we are nothing more than the puppets. I no longer buy games from VALVe and refuse to buy games that require any sort of digital authentication process to play anymore. These games have gotten way out of hand and we have given absolute control over to a company that does not really have your best interest in mind. Their minds are on how much money they can make and that's about it. The #1 reason why VALVe wont ban all our alt accounts is these accounts make their stats look awesome. They take these stats and show them to game companies and say "Look how awesome we are, you should join our team and we will sell your games. They will buy your games to get hats in TF2!" So VALVe makes more money.
Make the alts less noticable. Also, there's this one dude who idles 300+ Tf2 accounts. He's like "The Ultimate Fan".

I'd love to idle a ton of accounts also but it probably takes too much time to organize, craft, and trade in between accounts..
I'd love to idle a ton of accounts also but it probably takes too much time to organize, craft, and trade in between accounts..
Not really. Once you are in the routine it is pretty fast. Only takes about half an hour for 32.
that is if steam decides to cooperate? 7/10 times the trading doesn't work for me.
This is why I go into TF2 itself and trade. No errors. No problems :)
Not really. Once you are in the routine it is pretty fast. Only takes about half an hour for 32.
Half an hour to organize, craft, trade in between 32 backpacks? No way.
This is why I go into TF2 itself and trade. No errors. No problems :)
But it takes several trades sometimes. If you get steam in a happy mood, then steam trade is much faster. My steam trade usually works, except sometimes there's a day or two of errors. Also, I just craft all the weapons I get on each account into scrap, since that's what I would do anyway. Then I just store up the metal for a while, until I feel like trading it. Then there is less trading involved.
Half an hour to organize, craft, trade in between 32 backpacks? No way.
I just trade them all? It's not very hard. Most of the weapons I get I trade to friends for crates that I never use.
I just trade them all? It's not very hard. Most of the weapons I get I trade to friends for crates that I never use.
Is there one single dude you trade all the weapons to? 32 backpacks x approx. 11 drops/pack. That's 352 a week.
Is there one single dude you trade all the weapons to? 32 backpacks x approx. 11 drops/pack. That's 352 a week.
Mhm. 1 Weapon per crate. He also tests the program for me. He is pretty awesome :) Also that's about 13 refined a week. He just gives it away anyway.
fyi guys, now is a great time to grab idler alts since you can then use the accounts in the winter treasure hunt.
fyi guys, now is a great time to grab idler alts since you can then use the accounts in the winter treasure hunt.
Duh..
It keeps giving me the can't connect to steam error whenever I try to boot up a 3rd account...
It keeps giving me the can't connect to steam error whenever I try to boot up a 3rd account...
I'm not sure what the other error is about after I fixed the sandboxes. Can you post a screenshot of it? I'm sure someone here has had it before...
The item-schema error is nothing to worry about. As stated in a previous post of mine, the easiest way of making sure you get your weekly drops is setting up a dedicated server and connect all your 15 (max number) idle accounts to it. This way, you can always monitor if a client "checks out" (logs out) when steam is down, etc. Also, a small vmware tip: when steam is down and you don't want to do the same sh1t again, just freeze the vmware image and restart it later. Your clients will be connected and working properly in just seconds.
You should post a YouTube video for beginners. :)
There might be a beta out soon for the new revision of my program. It depends when I have a few days to code in the new features I thought of and the ones suggested by the community. Please note that in the beta only group 1 will have the settings. So don't tell me about that bug :P
now they all run at the same time but I can't access the mann co store to activate my new alts okay now the mann co store works and I can't add funds to the steam wallet.
you need to use paypal.
I'm getting these problems when opening steam through the batch files as instructed in the OP: "ERROR: unable to open Steam.exe for reading (copying)" "ERROR: unable to open SteamNew.exe for writing (errno =" "Steam is temporarily unavailable, please try later" It all worked perfectly fine beforehand so I'm not sure why it's doing this now. Logging in manually in Sandboxie works fine, but running it through the batch gives me this.
you need to use paypal.
tried that but it gives me the same bs. now my last 10 dollars for the last 2 accounts is stuck on a limited account :I
could anybody make a "step by step" on making this script with a youtube video?? i dont understand it & id apreciate it :/
I found something just add -dxlevel 80 to your launch parameters. 100MB might not look like much, but if you could only run 4 accounts before, now you can now run 1 more !
Did you try already creating only one idle account as server? The other accounts won't use more than 250mb each by connecting to the server. Creating a server for every account like the tutorial does consumes a lot more ram.
You didn't setup sandboxxie correctly, follow the instructions again.
I did, everything matches but it still doesn't work for some reason :S
I did, everything matches but it still doesn't work for some reason :S
Make sure you're running everything as administrator.
