Advanced Mann-Conomy: How to idle with multiple accounts

I'm getting this error when using the batch scripts from page one, anyone know what it means? I checked and the .dll file IS there.

Also, another question, sandboxie doesn't seem to work properly for me. I followed all the instructions carefully from page one but when I launch Steam it doesn't open in sandboxed mode it just opens as it usually would.
Sorry if this has already been posted on another page but I'm pretty late to this thread.

Check your "Start in" setting for shortcut, perhaps?

The 'launch.bat' (as I called it) contains this:
start C:\"Program Files"\Sandboxie\Start.exe /box:TF2Idle_idle1 "C:\Users\sickboy\Desktop\tf2-idle_idle1_idle.bat"
I just tried reinstalling Sandboxie and I'm still getting the same error.

Looks like wrong patched (cracked) library. Try to install another copy of the program and use another crack.
Try to minimize the path to files.
I have the trial version, not cracked. I've fixed the problem though, uninstalled it and restarted my computer this time, then installed it again.
Hello. Sorry I haven't been on in a while I've been swamped with school and other things.
I'll release M.A.I.D when I feel it's at a decent working order.
I've ended up getting Telstra (Main Aussie Telco) to put in a seperate copper line so I can actually test and work on this again instead of working on 8kbps speeds. So I can actually idle for the first time in 3 months.
So sorry for not being around and doing nothing but all should be good soon.
Hopefully the maker of M.A.I.D. can add a way for the user to manually delay the next idle account being launched by a certain amount? For me, a delay of about 30 seconds between each idle accnt launching would be great.
I actually got into a year 10 course at school (In year 9 :D) So I am funded with tools. So hopefully I can implement something like this. Maybe letting the user set the ping time and writing it to a .bat file to launch will work. But we will see what happens.

regarding the 20+ accounts I did a little experiment.
I read in this thread that you save more memory if you create a server and then you connect the idle accounts to that server, so I ran 1 account with the normal -sv commands, and the sv port : 29015
Then I connected my test idle accounts, at the 16th account the client port changed to: -1 CL
it was not a problem because they were able to connect, but at the 28th account I got the error about the alocate server port, so my limit is 27 accounts if I want any more I have to set a port manually.
In average each hl2.exe uses 241MB, and each steam.exe uses 209MB, that's 5.53GB in the 27 accounts, just for steam.
> Anyone knows a way to reduce the amount of memory the steam.exe uses ?
TL:DR: Note: I need to find a way to increase the server port limit, and reduce the memory used by steam.
PS: the idle + server account launch options:
-heapsize 131072 -textmode -nosound -low -novid -nopreload -replay_enable 0 -nohltv -tvdisable -nojoy -width 640 -height 480 +sv_password 1234 -sw -port 29015 +sv_lan 1 +map itemtest +maxplayers 30 +mp_idledealmethod 0
connect idle account launch options:
+exec idle.cfg -heapsize 131072 -textmode -nosound -low -novid -nopreload -nohltv -nojoy -tvdisable -width 640 -height 480 +password 1234 +connect 192.168.1.2:29015
my local ip is 192.168.1.2, yours might be different
If you have a suggestion for the launch option, feel free to say it :)

TF2:
-dxlevel 80 -32bit +maxplayers 2 -nopreload -replay_enable
Steam: Put /LOW after start in the .bat file so it launches on low priority.
Try them.

Account where you create the server involved in the idling? It drop a things?

I tried the commands for TF2 and the memory that the hl2.exe used increased, I tried the +maxplayers 2, and it made no difference :S
With steam.exe it was the same thing the memory was the same, which was strange

Yes you still get drops.
Oh ho ho.
Got another Pocket Medic drop. http://urli.st/nav/qxJw#6
I have 20 accounts and I can get the job done in 2-3 hours, including trading.
My tip: get one of the tf2 item managers that were linked in this thread, and put it to use.
If you're using sandboxie, here's what you need to do:
a) start your account in normal mode, using a .bat that contains:
C:\"Program Files"\Sandboxie\Start.exe /box:BOXNAME "H:\batch\ACCOUNTLOGIN.bat"
b) load up your favorite tf2 item manager, with a .bat that contains this:
start C:\"Program Files"\Sandboxie\Start.exe /box:BOXNAME "H:\Tools\item_manager.exe"
Make sure the steam account and the tool load up in the same sandbox, not a different one, because the tool won't be able to load up your inventory via steam api query.
All set, just craft your metal, and when you're done, send stuff on main or whatever.
Easy? Indeed...
Can you show me what the interface looks like.
[editline]21st February 2012[/editline]
Take note that the item manager needs to be launched in the same sandbox as the idle steam.
It hooks into the API and uses it as a item manager Which in that fact it could be possible to make a java based one. But not really much point to that :s
Does it increase crafting and transfer efficiency a whole lot though?
Does it increase crafting and transfer efficiency a whole lot though?
If you trade everything to a seperate account like I do. There is a craft all option. So yes.

I probably won't be able to set it up right.. so fuck it.

How exactly does the item manager do it's job? I'm really not knowledgeable with the API system but couldn't this have some form of a negative consequence for your account?
I'm using http://www.jengerer.com/item_manager/
And no, there is no craft_all option to click.
My suggestion of using this is mostly for people who might idle f2p accounts, like I did a while back.
I got paints/name/description and sent them to my main. And I had to smelt the rest of the items to conserve backpack space.
But even if you do send all stuff on one account and craft there, the tool is way more efficient.
My 2c!
The item manager I use is http://sim.didrole.com/
It doesn't look as nice as Jengerer's but it does the job.
Also a screenshot of M.A.I.D 2.3.1 (I did have a version ready to go but things came up)

Don't mind the ninja Fluttershy in the background. Just a random picture I put in for a test. Hopefully the tabpage (Group 1 buttons) will be transparent and the menu strip will also be transparent. Also placement of things will be changed.

I run 9 accounts at the same time and I get 5% CPU use and 90% memory use (then decreases to 70%).
http://steamcommunity.com/groups/vTraders ( I will soon post data about drop items, I need two more premium accs v9 and v10 ).

Why is this occuring?
I have to set a port manually.
How to do that?
-port 23, 25, 27, 29 with range 002 to 100
Is there one with a craft all option?
Craft all yellow weapons.

This one has that option

Try this: 1) remove this files AppUpdateStats.blob and ClientRegistry.blob then restart the steam and wait for update; 2) remove all files and folders except steam.exe and steamapps folder than restart the steam and wait for update 3) copy steamapps folder and cleanly reinstall the steam
Does anyone know if you have over 50 items on a free to play account if it will still give you new items and you can just wait and craft them in bulk, or on a free to play account, do you need to keep them under 50 items?

You have one Steam directory and you try to open two at the same time from the same folder (doesn't work). Try open one at a time.
Dont know what I'm doing wrong, but my sandboxie steam and normal steam try to log into my main account. and when I log off my sandboxie from my alt, my main steam wants to connect to my alt.
Any idea of what im doing wrong?
http://sim.didrole.com/

I can choose to just craft yellow weapons, right?..
So how do I use this.. do I have to use a sandbox with it?
uh
is there anyway to bring back the old tf2 ingame trading thing instead of steam trading
steam trading is being really slow for me but a few months ago tf2 ingame worked perfectly for trading shit between accounts
I can choose to just craft yellow weapons, right?..

Just trade everything you want to craft to one account, then start this on there.
