A question. If I get disconnected from the server in the middle of idling, will the time I spent being disconnected be subtracted from the time I can get items for?

I guess no, why would it work like that? The server only counts the total amount of playtime.

Don't try connect to servers not hosted on your own network. They have a good chance of disconnecting early on. If you connect to a local server and doesn't disconnect within the first 20 minutes you should be fine for the rest of the idling process. Only problem is if there is a update to the item server you will not receive drops. MrBond can you post a screenshot?

Just started getting an issue the other day of not being able to trade with any of my accounts while they are sandboxed, anyone else had this issue? Pretty much as soon as I click invite to trade the steam just closes, or if It send a trade from a non-sandboxed steam to a sandboxed one the sandboxed one just closes. No error msgs or anything it just closes the whole sandboxed steam. I tried creating new sandboxes and did a fresh steam install for each of them and still have the same problem, everything has been running fine for the last few months with them and just started doing this. I can still idle with the accounts using sandboxie, I just can't trade. If I load the accounts on my laptop un-sandboxed and then trade with unsandboxed on my desktop I can trade perfectly. Any ideas, suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. -dmtdude.

For some reason my alts haven't been dropping anything recently, and when they do it's only 1-3 items... Any idea what causes this?

I will post back in here about this soon.[/QUOTE] I have vaguely figured out the cause of my issues, I created a new set of sandboxes (again) and only installed steam with no steamapps folder and all seem to be able to trade properly now, I'm guessing something from my steamapps folder is causing it for some reason, so I don't mind too much, I have 1 set for trading and another set for idling. If you do find a solution tho, I would much prefer to just have the 1 set, but don't stress yourself too much about it. :) Thanks. -dmtdude.

That's kind of strange. I've set up my farm yesterday with 6 f2p accounts and I started idling with TF2Idle. The #1 account creates an itemtest server, followed by the other accounts (They all join the first one). Strange part is, the #1 account (Red) had 1 drop since, while the other ones have like 4 to 6 drops. Any idea why? Here's my drop list: [img]http://puu.sh/wlgE[/img]

No idea. If that matters, I host a dedicated server for idling.

It did not for me.[/QUOTE] I've been having the same issue. I've had one of my accounts not drop anything at all for 3 weeks, without running it for a second 10 hour stint. Today I was quite annoyed when after running 8 accounts only one had any drops, so I'll have to run those again too. Seems so strange. EDIT: Oh and I did a full reinstall of all the accounts just last week (I consider it a regular maintenance), so the problem doesn't appear to be with the steam accounts themselves.

There's a service in Russia called QIWI. It's a system that accepts payments for stuff like cell-phone plans, ISPs and such. Also, it accepts payments to steam. Mind you, cusotom payments (you're not limited to like 5 or 10 dollar payments. any amount you like). I've tried putting 50 cents on a single account (in order to buy the chepest item in store) and it worked like a charm. Thus I turned 10 accounts into premium for only 5 bucks. I guess i can sell you these 50c payments for abount 2 ref each. If you're idling that should be a fair price. And anyway, the first hat that drops almost covers the expenses. In case you don't trust me (and you shouldnt! who the hell am I?!), PM me one of your steam accounts you want to turn into premium. I'll just give you these 50c, so you can buy smth. In case you're satisfied with the result, let me know - we'll work something out.

Update, mates. It seems that the russian system QIWI can only send roubles. And there seem to be some problems with buying mann co items with them, if you're not in russia. I'll try to sort this out. Sorry, i haven't expected that.

I'm afraid that the problem is on the side of QIWI, it only works with local currency. And steam expects you to be in russia in order to pay with roubles. But we're trying to work this out right now. I'll tell you if we find the solution.

Lookup Entropay.com for virtual credit cards. There are fees, but it's pretty easy to do.

It'll take a while to make that money back from idling; I'm talking like 2 months. QIWI payments would be a hundred times more practical.

Ok. so here's the deal. Roubles should be paid from russia. So there are 2 ways to make it work: 1. You find a proper proxy, use the browser instead of the game to access the store, buy smth and become premium with these 15 rub. that I've sent you. That's the way, where i don't really have to do much work. That stays 2 ref. UPD: You can buy items trough the browser on the official tf2 wiki. The ubersaw and the sticky jumper are one of the cheapest items (15 robles). But you'll have to find the proxy yourself. 2. We meet in skype. I show you my desktop and what i'm doing. You give me your account info (login/pass and probably the email confirmation code) and watch me launch tf2 and buy smth. After that you "take back" your account. Change the password, check your BP and so on. If everything's cool and nice - you pay me 3 ref. I know it sounds strange. You have to give out your personal info AND overpay 1 ref. But i'm not really interested in spending my free time activating dozens of accounts. So if this routine clicking becomes my pain in the ass, insted of being yours, i'm taking collateral :) I'm not going to steal your account - i have a decent farm of my own, which i dont always have time to manage. just registered to post this, i kept getting an error of steamui_1893 and all i had to do with the sandboxie was "delete contents" option of each sandbox and it booted right back up like normal
