Advanced Mann-Conomy: How to idle with multiple accounts

I am also getting messages when trying to open multiple accounts at once that there's not enough memory - even though my computer could easily handle the load before. Did they change something in the game to make them take more memory? I'm up to date with Sandboxie.
If I'm not mistaken this happens when you try to run multiple accounts at the same time from a single Steam folder. You need to create one Steam folder for each account and share only the steamapps folder like described in the tutorial. If you already did that then I really don't have a clue.
So I tried to symlink my steamapps folder instead of copying over the GCFs and making a second folder. It symlinked correctly, but now I get an error saying I can't connect to the steam network. Any way to resolve this?
I've tried moving directories, different symlinks, and all sorts of things. I've even attempted a whole new sandboxie and I'm still getting this error. Anybody have any ideas?

Do I fresh install of everything, make sure Sandboxie rights are correct and try using the Sandbox easy mode with TF2Idle.
This probably has been asked before but is there a way to do this on the mac?
Okay, so I have batch files setup to launch each instance of my TF2 idle accounts, but I want to make a single "unified" batch file that specifies one client to be a server, and everybody else to connect to it via the local IP. Now, because I sometimes switch adapters (long story, dont 'ask), I want to make a batch file where I can dynamically enter my local IP address and have it used as a variable throughout all my launch scripts. I don't know how to set this up though. How would make I make a batch with a variable input?
Anyone having issues getting Steam to load up on Sandboxie?
It used to work fine for me, but now it just gets to "connecting account" and then goes Non-Responsive.
alright, this is interesting
after trading all the junk items from the MtP update, i started losing items between the trade
Steam trade error'd with "Error occurred: none of the items in the trade have been something-or-othered"
only problem is that the items are now missing.
It happened again with three more junk items shortly after
Checking the trade history, neither accounts have that trade logged, but neither backpacks hold those items.
Is this happening for anyone else or is there anything i can do about that because a hat was also involved in the loss.
I don't recommend trading neither idling right now, the item servers aren't being able to handle all the connections.
About the missing items, they'll probably reappear later, it's not the first time it happens.
This has probably been discussed before in this thread, buy I cant't find it.
My internet connection is not so stable. The router can disconnect several times during the day. So when I go to work and leave my accounts to idle, they often disconnect. They reconnect to Steam automatically, but not to the listen-server. Is there a command I can put in the run parameters or in the autoexec.bat that will keep the account not only logged in to steam, but also on the local server?
Thanks in advance.
For those using a dedicated server to host their alts, there's a new error that won't let your ds client run anything.
You need to download the latest snapshots for:
sourcemod
metamod
Update the addons folder accordingly so that your custom plugins will work again, or completely disable/rename the addons folder.
Updating the files fixed the errors I previously had and can run my alts once again with no errors.
My drop today,

Last week I got 2 Fast Learners in only one idle session with 6 accounts. Jelly?
Hi, I have two questions for you guys:
1. I've been trying to idle on an account, but I'm not getting any drops even though I've been leaving the computer on all night. I've followed the first post in the topic, but I'm still not getting drops. I'm thinking it may just be because of the MtP update that just came out, but there's this line in my textmode window that bugs me.
Is that a problem? If so, how can I fix it?
2. How do I stay logged into more than one account at a time? Every time I go into my sandboxie sandbox for idling and log into an idle account, it logs off my main account so only one of them is connected at a time. Shouldn't sandboxie prevent this from happening?
Many thanks for any replies!
After opening steam through sandboxie and running TF2 until it's fully loaded, I attempt to load steam outside of sandboxie and it says that a resource is being used by another process. I followed the instructions exactly and I still have this problem. I know I don't have to make a copy of steam otherwise it'd say so in the original post so I don't understand what's gone wrong to make it not work for me.
I'm using windows 7 if that helps.
Was curious what everyone did with their ash and how they might have fared opening 50~100+ piles.

I opened about 40 ash piles. And got about 12 new weapons and rest were crates.
Last week and this week I made a total of ~200 piles of ash.
I opened some (with some degree of luck) the rest I sold for metal.
Got myself a bud :p
Bought only one scorched key... Too overpriced...
What is the cheapest way to get another premium account?

Move to Russia and live like a king in Steam and tf2. There are cheap games and each premium costs 0.5$

Or you know.. Get a Russian VPN.. ( Just don't get caught. )
Wait, is running on f2p accounts pretty similar in effectiveness compared to premium?
Thats my hat ref value dropped last weeks for 15-23 acc groups.
hat 4 4,33 1,33 5,33 2,66 2,66 5,66 2,66
Not sure drop rate for tools increased if no hats dropped.

Yeah, or with a proxy.

Ok, now i've got some good and not so good news for all you idleheads.
1. The good news: I've found a way you can easily activate your accounts. Just follow these steps:
- create f2p accounts (duh!)
- confirm the e-mail adresses
- add me on steam.
Next you tell me the logins, i put 15roubles (40c) into each of them.
-install hamachi
-connect to my hamachi network
-use my hamachi ip as proxy to activate accounts. You can just put proxy setting in your browser and buy the cheapest item through a direct store link. Like this one: http://store.steampowered.com/buyitem/440/37
It really works fine. Slow, but stable. Better use chrome with images turned off, but it's up to you.
2. The bad news: I have to host the proxy. And I have put in some time into this. So from now on i'll take 3 REF for 1 activated account. It's still pretty easy to get them back, if you idle actively.
And I have work until 16:00 GMT, so available only after that time.
If you decide that you need this actvivation - feel free to add me, we'll work smth out.
Cheers!
Getting new error this week. It happens randomly but always in the same sandboxes. After loading up TF2 and connecting to a server, it appears "Disconnect: client not connect to Steam".
The only solution is exiting the game and restarting the account, but it's not a permanent fix. If anyone knows how to fix it let me know.
