What is your idle computer specs and how many account can you run on them?
I asked this earlier but i guess it slipped.Pm is fine, too.
so im back again.... dunno if i am the only one having this problem but I am using sandboxie successful for over half a year. i was able to idle with 10 accounts through the night. but now since the last update while driving up my 9th account the client in textmode gets stuck and crashes. the error is always out of memory. someone got the same problem?

If by out of memory you mean a blue-screen 0x000007 then yes I'm having that too on just 3 accounts. I think it might have something to so with a tf2 update or that I started the accounts and opened up a bunch of firefox tabs all at once.
hey guys been playing tf2 for about 5 years and want some stranges to track my kills. figure best way is to get some drops and craft some stuff and trade for them. just set up some new accounts for idling but its not working for me. i followed the tutorial and if i launch my idle account normally or through my "Steam1" folder then i launch TF2, it opens in a text window and says its connected. if i look at the account from my main on another computer it says in-game but cant show the server details.
however, if i launch Steam through sandboxie and log in to the same account and launch tf2, it doesnt show the text box at all and if i look at the idle account from my main then it says not in a server. so for some reason it doesnt work when i connect through sandboxie, but it does work normally. any idea what i might have done wrong? i followed the tutorial very closely. and yes, i did uncheck the drops box and give all sandboxes C:\ and D:\ full rights.
thanks for the tutorial and the help guys! hopefully i can get this working soon. :)
Is there a way to idle (using this guide) on the new halloween map instead of the one listed in the 1st page of this howto? If so, how to accomplish this please? (please disregard if it wont help get Halloween gifts)
Anyone else also experiencing HL2.exe crashes after the Halloween update?

Not sure if this would work for you.
I was tinkering around with my batch files and whatsnot, and I happened to experience a bunch of my clients crashing. So I deleted all the individual account folders in steamapps (C:\..\steamapps\usernames). Then I just re-ran all instances of my TF2 accounts as per normal, and it worked. Not sure why, not sure how, but you could try.

I already discovered it's a problem with the accountname/team fortress 2/bin folder. Deleting just the bin folder will fix it. =)
So I set up every well about a month ago. Every working fine.
Then I didn't idle the accounts for about 3 weeks ago and now when I run it, it starts up the sandbox then closes.
Something with .gcfs or something? I don't know.
Also, for those running plugins, you might wanna get the 1.4.7 sourcemod branch. It fixes the server crashing when characters fall in the pit or use kill/explode in console or blow themselves up with pumpkins :P
Compact freed 368640 bytes <-- can someone tell me what is this? it shows up on all idle sandboxie text mode

Nothing to worry about

The drop rate was doubled this week? I'm not talking about the cursed items, it seems we're getting more weapons

Noticed that too. Over 24 refined in weapons instead common 14.
Whenever, I click on Idle 1 on that program, steam opens up to the login menu, the username is in there but the password isn't. It loads for like 3 seconds and just disappears. It does this for all my idles. What do.
Any way to stop the Validating Steam Files issue with my idle accounts? ive tried everything ; updated the game without snadboxie; with sandboxie; delete client registery blob; deleted contents of sandboxie;
any other way ?

It gives me 'Steam - Updating - 0% complete' then closes. The red dots in Sandboxie disappearing.
Everyone's having so many problems with this method..
I get "The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process" every time I start steam.exe, even though it's sandboxed. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
edit: It looks like this http://i.imgur.com/skomN.png
Augh.. it logs in but closes the boxie right after the Steam Login.
I can manually login within the boxie but when I autorun it, Steam closes.
When do manually log in I can idle by running the idle again.
I tried the deleting Client Blob but that didn't fix it.

I think I had a problem like that once,
have everything in your steam library with updates/being downloaded downloaded and it should work.
Unless its not this I have no idea how to help.
*EDIT:
Got it to work.. to get text mode to work, use an updated (above 3.62) version of sandboxie. Figured it out hours later.

this must be my problem. im on 3.46. thanks!
For the last, I don't know maybe 3 weeks, whenever I idle I get an error immediately: "Replay error system: The session info file failed to download: File-non-existent URL: http://replay111.valve.net:80/srcds150.sea-1.valve.net/03/20120817-121432-mvm_coaltown.dmx
I've tried googling to fix the problem but the only thing that pops up is server owner's getting the error.
Would appreciate finding out what the hell is going on.
I'm having the same issue - Googlefu has failed to provide an answer.
When I run tf2 in text mode (map item test) hl2.exe use 500 MB RAM! This is too much in my opinion (I run 10 idle accounts through sandboxie) because my friend, who idle text mode has usage around 10-20 mb per one hl2.exe. How can I reduce memory usage? I tryed idle.cfg with disabling everything. But I still have 500 mb...
My launch parameters:
start /low h:\Steam01\Steam.exe -login account password -applaunch 440 -dxlevel 81 -32bit -textmode +exec idle.cfg -single_core -nojoy -low -nosound -sw -width 640 -height 480 -noshader -nopix -novid -nopreload -replay_enable 0 +sv_password ZZZZZ +map itemtest +maxplayers 2

It doesn't matter. It's a non-fatal error. Open your TF2 game and delete all "replays" in the menu and it should go away.

Your friend is full of shit about his memory usage, or he is running a dedicated server he connects to. You will NOT get anything close to that running a local map, and it would surprise me if anyone ever managed to get even anywhere less than 250 MB usage on a local map.
So go buy more memory, or use a dedicated server instead of a local map. Or why don't you just ask him what his "secret" is, instead of asking here?
