I think your best bet would be an Eastern European team; it's the closest region to you that has good competitive TF2 presence. UGC has a Euro league and there's ETF2L as well.
Is there a Facepunch league?
There is no facepunch LEAGUE but you could probably make a 1 day tournament thing to go around.
My 6s team is in the top of cevo(which isn't saying much because its early season) but we might have to drop our scout and find a replacement and next week we have a demo ringer playing.

I use the one in the description of [URL="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvknOdnErvA"]this[/URL] video, which is a modified Hudas Iscariote. If anyone uses it, install the fonts manually, not through a vpk. Also, it comes with comp configs, so check those if you don't like them.

Yeah, it's sort of an old site and it goes down often.
I recently got into tf2 competitive for the summer season, in both 6s as scout and highlander as sniper. I've been told by a lot of people that I should probably move up to gold or plat sniper in HL, but this is my first season ever!
Very excited.
