idea for the next collaboration; "things that people in their profession actually use" i want pyro items that rely on the fact that he burns things and not on the fact that he's on a drugtrip :(

So we made a style that has subtle leg hair and the original vest coloration, and added a bit of an overarching gradient going on the legs, per suggestions from you guys. Looks pretty good imo. When people ask us to make quick photoshop changes, we're often at work, and get home later than most people do, so we can't try them out until another time. This worked out pretty nice though. I still prefer the original color scheme, but the grad works to anchor the model, so cool. What do you guys think?

What do you guys think?[/QUOTE] I still would like to see smudgy leg hair. what you have now doesn't really accomplish the goal of darkening the legs nor does it look satisfactorily hairy so I'd just remove it.
[QUOTE=Venezuelan;39769118]there isn't really a standard of equipment for mercenaries is the thing and nearly all of their bases for practicality have been covered[/QUOTE] but people who work with flamethrowers often have different fuel tanks, different protective gear, people who work sniper rifles would have things like a single ration for when they're waiting for their shot while unable to leave. different grenades, different bullet proof vests and body armor, different satchels and bags. not everything has to be incredibly noticeable. something dota 2 does well is having everything look like it belonged to the same hero who owned it while still being different. i dunno, i was trying to make a 'proper flamethrower use' loadout and I could find maybe 1 item that fit, the hazmat. it was sad.
Dota is also way more modular in its equipment I don't see alternate fuel tanks as necessary or exciting (especially when the current technically does nothing as is), it certainly wouldn't be any more desirable than just the default tank. that's a problem with all those suggestions I think, alternate designs for the same equipment is boring if the equipment was fine in the first place. The reason you can't get a good proper flamethrower use loadout is because the default pyro with absolutely no cosmetics is as good as that will ever get. You can make tons of the most fitting vanilla items ever but the pyro's original design was crafted by experts to serve that function as well as possible. Sniper ration might be interesting though

Problem is it'd need viewmodels, which are a pain and the reason why it wasn't already done.

if anything(back on the pyro cosmetics subject) i'd really wish that the pyro would stop getting whatever piece of shit they could throw at him. out of all the characters somehow it has been stablished that the pyro would pick a boot and put it on his head and call it done(sight). as if anything would fit it no matter how irrelevant would it be. i still hope for stuff like 15 minutes of flame, that WW1, or the afterburner set that have been posted here on past emporiums to make their way into the game. PS: and so, the post above this one ilustrated my point.
