Actually yeah, they're totally screwed. One makes everything look desaturated and green/yellow (the one I'm looking at now) and the other one makes everything look over-saturated and red. It's a wonder I can get anything done, come to think of it!

Because his huge forearms? As former military, this does not bother me. Even the Heavy wouldn't be swinging around his minigun like he does, were it meant to be realistic. We are talking about TF2. I can't actually tell if you're being serious, I think this post made me catch the Asperger's.
I think we can all agree that it would be super hilarious if he had hairy legs, and we are well aware of this. Try to think about this realistically for a minute, though. This texture is going to be compressed down to a 256 and takes up half of his body, as opposed to the smaller surface area of something more hat-sized. It's just not realistically feasible to include something as fine detailed as body hair, as funny as it sounds, it just won't hold up. Notice that there is no visible body hair on any of the character's arms, not even on the Heavy. :( We considered it, but ultimately decided to follow the example of other character's in-game extremities, for these reasons, and I do think it was the best move after giving it some thought. Now with fanart, you can go nuts with whatever you want as you have no technical restrictions, can make his legs as skinny and hairy as you want, etc. and I am a full advocate of the Sniper being depicted in such a way.
Also, we posted many WIPs. I don't know if we posted the legs, but if we didn't then it was an oversight. We have been very busy the past few weeks working on this set after work, and have had very little time for internets (also this site doesn't work for us at work anymore so I can no longer post during the day, urgh). This has nothing to do with what we "felt like doing", having an adult life is actually difficult v:
I actually really enjoy the contrast of the lighter beige color of the shorts on red to the darker blue ones, and much prefer them to darker colored shorts on red as khaki is a bit more believable for what we're going on. Shorts the color of his pants remind me of what my piano teacher wore in the early 90's. I agree that having the skin color and all that kind of kills the principle of a light to dark gradient, but is kind of unavoidable so what the hey. It's been broken many times, and I don't see any of these things as hard rules, so long as they're broken for a reason (we took a few liberties with the gun as well that we hope will pay off). In this case, darker colored boots actually created more visual contrast in the lower area of the body, and causes more of a visual distraction.
I do think the socks might look better a little darker, like the color of the medic's labcoats or something, since light stuff does tend to get really blown out in game in the sun and you really have to compensate for that. I'll ask Dry what he thinks about that for you, since that's his texture. :)
Also, you think those pants are green? This is probably just like how I'm the only person in the world who thinks the gamecube isn't purple, WHAT'S WRONG WITH MY EYES.
They are actually a fully accurate replica of my legs. No joke, I do lots of squats.

So I hexed Napy's Fashionable Megalomaniac to the Deus Specs (Since I don't own a blighted beak or procedure mask) and somehow it broke the team colours on it (The goggles are just plain white now). Is there any way I can fix that?

the whole thing makes the sniper's torso look awfully small. the belt gives the ilusion that his torso is shorter even when its placed at the same heigh than the default pants, and thats due to the torso thin not matching the bulky legs.
i said it before, it literally destroys the sihoulette of the sniper and turns him into some sort of strange "reverse-heavy".

The Procedure Mask and Blighted Beak have paint capability, so they can have values set to create the team coloring for teams, the Deus Specs don't use paint, so their setup would probably require an edited texture with painted on blue and red, unless you can add the default hex values into the texture's data file.

For me, the hat's bent up side doesn't look long enough to match with the other flat side, can you make it longer? That is, unless the style of the hat does this intentionally.

Today is the day I release the 70 FOV Fix pack! I'll probably upload to Gamebanana around 2-4pm EST, I might also make a forum for it here. Also as a bonus for the Team Colored versions of the arms, I included a NON 70 FOV version for people who either use custom animations or just don't play on 70 FOV. The last thing I need to do before release is to make a readme file to show what is going to be replaced and to also include credits.

That can´t work with spy´s first person view when holding the primary
I tried some similar shape with a revolver of mine, and the dumb way spys puts him thumb in first person view just destroys it. Unless you make it clipping so much that it looks like there is no thumb at all :v:

Haha yeah, they're big, but in order to skin in all poses correctly, this is the smallest he could be and still have them look like legs and work properly. Everything had to be very exact. I'm definitely open to darkening the socks a little while keeping it in the cream spectrum, but I like the khaki, so that's staying.
