I'm getting the same error. But not on all accounts. Also lately i have a lot of problems with 'The game is currently not available' and 'client.dll init failed'. When i do a validate integrity gamecache it doesn't seem to help. Renaming clientregistry.blob doesn't solve it, after downloading some steam files it gives the 'client.dll init' error again. Emptying the sandbox doesn't work either. I just removed everything except steam.exe for that account but i'm still getting that error. Any idea's?
Deleting the specified accounts folder in Steamapps might help if you haven't done so.
After reading the whole thread with replys I set up your program and it works great. Thank you very much for making this! Will you consider add auto-reconnect function? My internet sometimes gets disconnected and it stops the server idling. It's very annoying and this feature would really help me a lot. Thanks.
I do not know of a reliable way to tell if the account has disconnected. If someone can let me know I will implement it.
I'm not getting any drops and the text mode command prompt is saying "Game coordinator is going down for routine maintenance." Any ideas?
The 'Game coordinator' seems to be the item server.
Deleting the specified accounts folder in Steamapps might help if you haven't done so.
Thanks, that worked. Moussekateer, could it be that the Terminate Sandbox button causes steam sessions not to close properly and possible cause problems like 'The game currently is not available' and 'Client.dll init' problems? Would it be possible for you to make a button that gracefully shutsdown the TF2 sessions and exits steam before terminating the sandboxes?
--------------------------- VIRHE --------------------------- Steam.exe (main exception): Unable to write to the current Steam application folder. Please move Steam to a folder where you have write privileges. --------------------------- OK ---------------------------
Well, I tried everything that the README.md said. Any help?

'The game is not available' issue is apparently something to do with Valve's servers. I've never had any other issues myself with terminating the sandboxes this way, but I'll see if there's a more graceful way to shut them down. I added C:\Program Files\Sandboxie\Steam\ , no luck. :C
I added C:\Program Files\Sandboxie\Steam\ , no luck. :C
Try deleting the sandbox contents, make sure the tf2 files are upto date, and deleting the specific accounts folders generated by TF2 and see if that works
I didn't get the sandbox part, what do you mean? But I did everything else, no luck
I didn't get the sandbox part, what do you mean? But I did everything else, no luck
The 'delete sandbox contents' option in TF2Idle. You can try another way to set this up if you wish. Just copy over the Steam folder somewhere and the relevant TF2 gcf files. Then set up sandboxes that all point to this one folder. For example, my (idling) Steam folder is on my desktop and I have all the sandboxes set up like this, all with the same settings apart from the sandbox name. Try that out
I will try that tomorrow. Thanks :D Edit: I tried from the very start again, and boom, works like a charm! Thank you very much for helping me and have a good day :D
Complete dumbass question: What do I do in sandbox to make sure both accounts idle? I have sandbox installed, and both profiles have tf2 installed. They are also both hooked up to the program.
Too complicated
Too complicated
Too stupid
Too complicated
Instead of a vague statement you could have elaborated more. Is the whole idling workflow too complicated? Is there a step in TF2Idle that is too complicated? That would be helpful to know.
Too complicated
If this is too complicated then you don't even deserve to idle. Seriously, this shit ain't hard, you just need to take the time to read the instructions. I've got 24 idle accounts running using this thing and it's pretty spiffy.
I do not know of a reliable way to tell if the account has disconnected. If someone can let me know I will implement it.
Didn't DispenserGUM not have steamstats or something as an idle program? (which you put in server IPs into a config and it launched TF2 in either Idle mode (much like your program) and game mode (which was without textmode etc). Somehow if it discovered you had been disconnected it would automatically connect to the other ip address in the list you provided and the cycle would continue. *Edit* Found it. Don't know what you can extrapolate from it though. He discontinued it quite some time ago I (but I do believe his "SourceTools" may have carried the torch). Hate the fact that I keep getting "could not connect to steam network" errors OR validating steam files. Regardless of me cleaning the sandboxy and removing all the TF2 files (not CFG's). I suppose I have to re-download everything again seeing when I validate files, 4 hours later it still wasn't finished and I think it never will.

I updated my main game, did the Update GCF's process and then idled unsandboxed. After that my accounts worked again. But still i have those 'game is currently not available' errors with some accounts. Making a steam ticket is always so aggravating. They will just tell me to reinstall steam bla bla. Did anyone find any of the new items through idling (barn doors, lint, diary, etc)? I idled with 20 accounts last night but found nothing.

Is the drop log broken ? I can only see like 3 or 4 items when i drop 10. Am i the only one ?
same here
Same for me :)
Same thing is happening here too. I guess it must be something to do with the API keys
I too, get this problem. Does it have to do with the pocket lint and banana peels?
I had this problem and just deleted all the relevant account folders in steamapps... seemed to fix it.
Sorry gentlemen, I'm not home atm but I believe I know what the issue is (it's to do with the new items being craft tools). I'll push out a fix later tonight
