I can't idle a non-sandboxed and a sandboxed account at the same time. The sandboxed account is fine, but the unsandboxed one does nothing. When I click idle unsandbozed, nothing at all happens, and clicking start idling results it it trying to sandbox and coming up with invalid parameters. Any help on this?
How much resource consumming is this program whit idling active? Any minimum requirements? I am able to run only 1 tf2 instance on low settings, would I be able to idle more than one account with the program at the same time?

Rate me dumb if you want, but I've got sooooo many questions... I don't believe in magic, but this programm looks very promising, Moussekateer. But, basically, what do we have to do ? Download the software, install it, and then what ? Second question, does it really simplify the way to idle ? I mean, do we just click on a button and then, the Sandboxed Steams start and tf2 and we start idling ? Thanks in advance, my friends, and keep up the good work.
My apologies for the perhaps dumb question but I've tried and failed before so I want to be thorough this time. When setting up the folder structure does it matter what I name the folders for each of my accounts?

Consistency.
Does any message come up in the log?
oh shame on me, ok for laugh: do u know what was the problem? i just unpressed "system messages" lol
150 total, if 23 accs logged.
Not sure what you meant by that
I don't get it. I just click on my account, then GO, and bam, I'm idling?

[del]I will give someone a refined if they will walk me through setting this up from start to finish.[/del]
Try setting the port manually for when you run out of automatic ports. The launch argument is -port <port>.
ack. I hate ports :( Are there specific ports I can only use with TF2 or do I have some flexibility?
ack. I hate ports :( Are there specific ports I can only use with TF2 or do I have some flexibility?
I think you can use alot of port numbers, just put -port 23 or some random number and you should be fine.
You sure you entered the account details correctly?
Positive.
Positive.
Do you have a tf2idle_exceptions.txt file?
Do you have a tf2idle_exceptions.txt file?
Yes.
Setting up the sandboxes are easy. You open sandboxie control. Go to Sandbox on the toolbar (by file, view, etc.) and go down to Create New Sandbox. Give it a name (Steamaltnumber1, whatever). Click okay. Right click the newly made sandbox and go to sandbox settings. Go to Restrictions then Drop Rights. Uncheck the checkbox. Click apply and then okay. With every sandbox you make, you can copy the settings to that sandbox so you don't have to constantly go into the settings. In TF2idle, just put the name of the sandbox in the applicable section when adding a new account. Once you do this a few times, it becomes repetition. At least for me anyways :) I make 10 accounts all ready to idle in half an hour. (not premium of course) :P
I know this, but the easy mode is supposed to make boxes "on-the-fly" which it clearly states.
I know this, but the easy mode is supposed to make boxes "on-the-fly" which it clearly states.
Ah okay. The easy mode iirc, is still in beta. I don't think it makes it all that much easier tho.
I have a problem that seems to be sandboxie related. I used to idle multiple accounts just fine, but after a brief period of a few windows updates and self system tweaks, I started getting a userenv.dll error in sandboxie. Sandboxes still worked for everything else (windows/internet browsers), but when running tf2 sandboxed, the game would crash while loading the main menu every time. Since, I've done a clean uninstall/reinstall of sandboxie and tf2 and I get no errors from sandboxie, but the same problem persists. Outside a sandbox, tf2 is fine, but any account run in sandbox crashes at main menu. Changing to/from text mode and other various settings hasn't worked, and even after deleting the "team fortress 2" folder and re-running I still get a crash at the main menu only in sandbox. Maybe someone knows of a service required for tf2 in sandboxie that may have been disabled? I've searched for similar problems and have double-checked all the required services I could find. Side note: For the short while i was able use tf2idle to its potential, it was great. Just wanted to say thanks.
Lium: Does your account name have any weird characters in it or spaces? [editline]1st July 2012[/editline]
I have a problem that seems to be sandboxie related. Emptying the sandbox contents, updating the gcfs, deleting the account folders and running only one steam instance first usually fixes it for me
Nope. Five characters. - "Lium2"
Nope. Five characters. - "Lium2"
Can you pm me what your account settings and program settings screens look like (and hide the sensitive details of course)
Hi, i'm getting some errors in Tf2Idle, so this is what I did/have: Steam Installation Location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam <--------This is where it should be Secondary Steamapps Folder Location: G:\ZokunuZer0 <-----My main account in an "External Hardrive". This is the secondary one. Sandboxie Installation Location: C:\Program Files\Sandboxie <-----------Where it should be, also this is a FULL Version Idle Launch Setting: +exec idle.cfg -textmode -nosound -low -novid -nopreload -nojoy -sw +sv_lan 1 -width 640 -height 480 +map itemtest Note: I didn't symbolic link my steamapps folder. I put every single account that I have on my G:/ Drive, Like This...with Steamapps folder in each of them. In G:/ ZokunuZer0(Folder) Rezestar(Folder) Rezestar2(Folder) Rezestar3(Folder) For the Edit account setting's for the Sandboxie Path: I go ~ZokunuZer0 - G:\ZokunuZer0 ~RezeStar - G:\RezeStar etc Also this is how I start running Tf2Idle. 1) I double click Tf2Idle 1.5.3 (the latest one) 2) I click on on my accounts, ZokunuZer0, Rezestar etc and make them ALL update GCF's at the same time. 3) I then Empty Sandboxie 4) I then Idle Unsandboxed on my ZokunuZer0 account. 5) Once it says ZokunuZer0 is connected, I close the window and SELECT all my accounts, and "Idle Sandboxed" at the same time. 6) Once it's all connected, I go to drop log, and click on Add accounts. This is the ERROR I'm getting. The drop log isn't working for me for somereason, even though it says started logging, nothing is showing up but I still get drops. Did you setup a vanity ID? Go to https://store.steampowered.com/login/ and login with your idle account. Then go to View Profile>Edit Profile>Custom URL. The name you use here should also be defined in the Vanity ID field of the TF2Idle account properties.
why do i have to specify steam installation location (in file->settings->tf2) since every account has a seperate one with steam.exe ? i put in a random folder and everything still works
That's only for the copy gcfs function. If you don't use it then you don't need to worry about that information.
Has anyone made a step by step tutorial on how to do this yet? Just wondering.
