Actually, I have checked the thread for a solution, but in the end i came up empty handed, google didn't yield anything either. The uncurable desiase of idling.
Remove yourself from the Steam client beta. That causes that problem.
Yes i am sure , i tested by choosing ON and made the key 123 , but it did not work , and now i have removed the file but i remember the configuration settings had alot of different letters in it , its hard to explain but it didnt look right !, i now find something that i had missed the python files and all those programs, it seems kinda difficult could you send any links or something with a tutorial i can't find any ?, maybe this issue will solve when i install all those things.

You don't need any of those if you're using the .exe. Just download this and run it.
ok , i have it but i still dont know how to "update the GCF's properly ( stop the game files from validating )
ok , i have it but i still dont know how to "update the GCF's properly ( stop the game files from validating )
I don't know what your setup is but you need to copy over the updated gcfs to your secondary steam folder if you have set it up that way. Then you need to run that secondary steam UNSANDBOXED so it can finish updating the gcfs. Then you can idle
i have 1 main steam install C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam , 1 secondary steam install i use for my idle accounts, C:\Sandboxie\Steam
The secondary steam folder is filled with many different folders ( Account 1/2/3.... up to 20 ) 1 for each idle account. Each Account folder have all the contents from the Secondary steam install in it minus the Steamapps, i have 1 secondary steamapps folder C:\Sandboxie2\steamapps , this folder have all the GCF files and all the idle account name folders, this secondary steamapps is linked using cmd to all the idle Accounts 1/2/3... ,, The TF2Idle Settings are
Steam installation location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam
Secondary Steamapps folder location: C:\Sandboxie2\steamapps
Sandbox installation location: C:\Program Files\Sandboxie
Each idle account have these settings:
SandboxName: Steam1 /2/3......
SandboxPath: C:\Sandboxie\Steam\Account1 /2/3.......
The sandbox settings are:
Steam1 to 20
drop rights unchecked
full access : C:\Sandboxie\Steam\Account1 /2/3....
C:\Sandboxie2\steamapps
When i "Update" the Gcf's i first delete the "old" from C:\Sandboxie2\steamapps then i click all my idle accounts and Update Gcf's ,, Wait,, then Empty Sandbox
,, Then now i have a problem i dont know if am doin right but am going into C:\Sandboxie\Steam\Account1 and start the Steam.exe in there my secondary steam install but i have copies of my secondary steam install for all my Accounts folders , so i dont know what to do , Anyway after i run 1 account unsandboxed and then when it is connected i run a few or all sandboxed but it wont work , several are validating,
So i have now explained as detailed as i could and i really hope you can help me get this amazing program up running ! :S

Thanks a lot!
Okay, so I got it to work but v1.6 crashes a lot when starting idling. 1.53 didn't use to crash. I have a delay of 60secs between launching accounts. Also it takes pretty much for it till it shows that i'm connected but I guess that's an issue on my/tf2's end.
I use the exe

Hmmm you shouldn't need to have a Steam.exe for each of your accounts. You just need one secondary Steam folder with its own gcfs, that all the accounts point to.
ok but then i dont really know how to set it up ,
This is one of my account folder:
This is my secondary steamapps:
(account names erased)
my gcfs are in my steamapps shoudnt they be there ?, and how can i point all the accounts to one folder ?, this is probably why its happening because i do update them the correct way right ?,

Really? Well crap lol.

That's what my setup for accounts look like
http://i.imgur.com/cxxrc.png
That's what's inside each folder
I mklink each account folder to steamapps manually. So far I have 100.
I thought that all the accounts needed its own steam.exe. It works for me, but I guess I might be making it too complicated.
Well, i had 7 F2P accounts i had idled for a few weeks, decided to make one premium and get some games from the summer sale to gift myself... Added the min amount to steam wallet needed. Went to purchase a cheap item and it would come up saying there is an error..please contact steam support if this persists.. so wouldnt go through..
After several times trying to relog in i had this screen pop up.. I have checked the other accounts i was going to make prem, but they wont go to checkout either to upgrade the status, but dont display this message.. so i guess they have stopped those from being made into proper accounts.
Steam doesn't really like you trying to use the same payment method on more than 1-2 accounts, that is most likely the issue here.
Steam support fixed the issue.. and the other accounts were able to be made premium... i did manage to use paypal on more than 2 accounts

I have the same setup , but steam always validates my game files when am trying to idle, could you tell me how you update the gcf's ? and show pictures on how your TF2Idle.exe and secondary steamapps folder is setup ? Please i really want this program to work :(
Anyone else getting really low amounts of drops this week? Like 3-4 weapons on all my accounts.
I idled multiple times, but it seems they've capped at that. Weird.

Ive been having this problem with a few accounts for a few weeks now
Ive been having this problem with a few accounts for a few weeks now
Having the same problem. Thought I was going insane.
Same here, it seems to vary per account. Some of my accounts are getting 0 drops for two weeks now.
just ran another 10 accounts.. getting around 3/4 items on each.. wtf is going on
I ran 4 accounts last night and averaged 8 on each. One of them was the odd one out though, with a measely 3 drops.
The scroll thingy might be useful for some of us :)

o.O
Yea I will have to look into making it switch to a scrolling window maybe when over a certain number of accounts.
In other news, I almost have the auto-reconnect function finished. If enabled, it will automatically terminate and restart any account that loses connection. Progress has been very slow because its been hard to find time to work on this.
Also, 5 accs per string is sad.

I go to my steamapps folder, find an account that works, copy its team fortress 2 folder and replace it with all the others. Only had to do it once, but it was a pain. Took 4 hours for my PC to do that.

You could've created symbolic links of the team fortress 2 folder that worked, to all the other locations, so if someday you have a problem you just need to substitute 1 folder, and not all.
