Make sure your tf2idle.ini not set readonly.
It's not. Every time I change my settings or add an account, it just doesn't save.
How does everybody trade items from their idlers to their main account? Is there a better way than doing it manually?
anybody?
anybody?
No. There is just you getting on two Steam accounts at the same time and trading to each. It takes like 10 minutes, not a big deal.
anybody?
Yes, there is a simpler way, but it is not public.

The person with 500 accounts is a very specific case, doesn't really matter. I am pretty sure he was talking about a public thing, it does nobody any good if there's a private way to do something.
Hold on, let me get this straight. Does this actually work for getting items? I was thinking of experimenting and trying it out.
Hold on, let me get this straight. Does this actually work for getting items? I was thinking of experimenting and trying it out.
Yes, it works. It's just an organized way of launching TF2 and Steam multiple times, so it's the exact same as regularly playing the game.
[editline]27th October 2012[/editline] Any help pl0x?
Try updating your GCFs?
Try updating your GCFs?
The GCFs are updated, TF2 is running meaning that the GCF files are the newest.
[editline]27th October 2012[/editline] Any help pl0x?
Wait before itemservers up again.
Wait before itemservers up again.
Yeah, the item servers and Steam itself have been bad today with the update and all. Just wait it out.
Is it what Nooch uses/used? I was just curious, before I go about coding my own.
I think Nooch got his own program/code just for him. There are usermade Steam Trading APIs and such.
I think Nooch got his own program/code just for him. There are usermade Steam Trading APIs and such.
So SteamBot/what TF2Scrap uses.
So SteamBot/what TF2Scrap uses.
I suppose so. I'd like to add you on Steam because I am really interested if you're gonna make a program like that, but you haven't been online in 32 days.
I think Nooch got his own program/code just for him. There are usermade Steam Trading APIs and such.
I've seen him say multiple times that he does it all manually, albeit with some help from batch files like I do.
I.. I know that this tool doesn't determine what I get, but I just got a crate 40 I love you.
Is it what Nooch uses/used? I was just curious, before I go about coding my own.
Can you make it public or just share if you code? I searched for sth like that for so many hours with no luck, and have no coding knowledge to make my own.
If no one has posted a fix for the "validating" bull, I have one. Hope this helps guys. Enjoy :D
Doing this when steam tries to log in it says there isnt enough space to run this game. Works fine though if i set the symbolic link to use the regular steamapps folder instead of the idle's one, any idea why?
I'm having issues getting my Item-logging set up, the program works perfectly and I can actually see my accounts getting items on the TF2B website, but the built in Itemlog refuses to work for me. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/A0uw4.png[/img_thumb] Here's what my TF2Idles Settings look like, my API Key is there and my Accounts are running, but no items are logged whatsoever and my log just looks like this. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/Qsm8M.png[/img_thumb] Any help would be appreciated.

Someone made an auto trading script with autohotkeys. This means the program will pick the account from your friendlist and then do all the mouseclicks for you to complete the trade. It's not really what we would like (as with an API) but it helps. I made an improved version of it which you can find here: http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1179280
For some reason, TF2idle is not launching the accounts into textmode, but in a low resolution fullscreen mode. I don't want that. Anyone else having this problem?
Running into the problem where , validating steam files happens everytime when I click start idling . I`m 100% sure all the accounts/files are setup correctly . When ran outside of the idle folder , using the normal steam application , tf2 will run fine . My laptop started to do this about a month ago before I had idling setup , it seemed to fix itself . I think the link between the idle folders and steam apps is causing the problem . Im testing this on my laptop , and if its working Ill setup everything on my main gaming pc. I can run one of the tf2 idling accounts , but the others cant get past the validating problem . Ive tried defraging my entire hard drive along with defraging the steam game and validating cache files multiple times . Nothing seems to work , if anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great. Cant use my main pc at the moment , cause its in my apartment and im off college for a week so I decided to go home to my parents house . So all I got is the laptop to test this with . Edit:Think I found a temp fix , If I run each idle folder and wait until idling is done fully , by fully I mean leaving it longer than it should take to validate. Then run it without using the idle tool . Hopefully now they will all idle properly . Edit:Looked back on peoples post with this problem and going to try all the fixes , starting with restoring tf2 . FIXED:Thanks to the members on this forum , a full reinstall and 100% cleaned base game of tf2 is now working perfectly for my idle bots.
