I was able to get Cloud's script configured and running properly. I have 5 idle accounts, 1 set for server and the other 4 connecting to that server. Everything looks right ... but no drops. I ran it for several hours today and most of the idle accounts haven't been played all week so they're still due their drops. Any ideas?
When idling,if item servers are down, your item cap will fill and still you will get no drops.Pretty annoying, really.
Does anybody else have to briefly update Steam for 3-10 seconds every time they run an account on TF2Idle? I have my Sandboxie sandboxes set up correctly in accordance to Iviv's settings, a folder at C:/ named idle, within it, steam1, steam2, steam3, etc, with a Steam.exe in one of them run to copy the Steam files into each of the other Steam numbered folders. Then, I have a separate steamapps folder in the idle folder next to the Steam numbered folders with my accounts and a Team Fortress 2 folder in each of the account folders. In my Steam numbered folders, an mklink was created to the separate steamapps folder in each one and I had set up my TF2Idle to launch the accounts, yet it updates Steam every time for each account launched. edit: fixed tf2idle settings

Thank you very much!
Hi thanks for the update.. did you make it soo the account buttons are scalable so can fit more accounts in a smaller resolution..decreasing the text size still has a huge button area
-snip-
Hi thanks for the update.. did you make it soo the account buttons are scalable so can fit more accounts in a smaller resolution..decreasing the text size still has a huge button area
No he didnt.
:(
I don't know if this has been answered before, but I keep getting the message 'Validating Steam cache files', I have to wait for a long time, then close it, the 'Start idling' again with the same account. Is there any workaround on this?
:(
you can change the size of the text and account buttons, that post above has 2 disagrees.
Hi thanks for the update.. did you make it soo the account buttons are scalable so can fit more accounts in a smaller resolution..decreasing the text size still has a huge button area
I'm not understanding this issue. You can set both the button text size and the number of buttons per row in settings. Could you elaborate?
I havent saw any options or checkboxes about reconnect. Is it safe to assume it wasnt added?
@Moussekateer: The red-tape recorder is still counted as a tool, i think you should change the way it checks to see if it's a weapon, instead of using the item_class it should use the craft_class. I tried this and it worked, in this line DropLogview line 761 add:
craft_ = item.get_craft_class()
switch Line 767 for this:
elif craft_ == 'weapon':
it should future proof the weapon count if valve decides to add more item slots like the previous pda2 and building.
I havent saw any options or checkboxes about reconnect. Is it safe to assume it wasnt added?
Not in this version.
the number of buttons per row in settings
Only 5, also.
Only 5, also.
that is a lot of accounts
Only 5, also.
I'm not sure how to solve that issue actually. I cannot think of a way to adjust the font kerning, which is what you would want if you want the letters spread out to fill up the box. Would increasing the maximum number of boxes per row help?
increasing the rows doesnt help.. theres still a huge box length..
Quick Question, does this program have any start up commands? I want it to launch and start idling whenever I start my computer.
Yep it would definitely help.
Ok that will be in the next update, but I will post a 'nightly' build sometime soon. Frankly I don't quite understand Qt's behaviour with the account boxes as they don't seem to shrink beyond a certain size...
Ok that will be in the next update, but I will post a 'nightly' build sometime soon.
that is a lot of accounts
That is problem. I have few diff copies of this program coz when i trying to add 100+ accs window borders going under my screen.
Howcome you need the real path to the file and not the symlinked path? autohotkey seems to be fine with using symlinked paths. I have zero experience with python though but i assume its sort of the same? Like perhaps you could use the method i've figured out if you can for my autoreconnect. Two variables, Var1 is the path of the steam.exe that idle account is using, but just chop off the end of it so c:\steam\steam.exe becomes c:\steam\. Var 2 is the accounts name Then use Var1\steamapps\Var2\Team Fortress 2\tf\
I just remembered the issue with that. That will not work for steam folders that have been symlinked. For example, if a steam folder is at E:\User\Moussekateer\Desktop\Steam which is actually symlinked from C:\Program Files\Steam then the log file is actually at: C:\Sandbox\<windowsusername>\<sandboxname>\drive\C\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\<steamaccountname>\team fortress 2\tf and not at C:\Sandbox\<windowsusername>\<sandboxname>\drive\E\User\Moussekateer\Desktop\Steam\steamapps\<steamaccountname>\team fortress 2\tf Also you're not even taking into account that sandboxed accounts write to a special sandboxed folder with that directory structure.
I've tried to create new accounts but I am getting error all the time when I want to finish the payment (Error bla bla contact steam support). So have they fixed it and we're doomed? :P
I've tried to create new accounts but I am getting error all the time when I want to finish the payment (Error bla bla contact steam support). So have they fixed it and we're doomed? :P
you can still use paysafecard if you live in europe
I tried to idle with 20 accounts at the same time today but couldn't because there is a client slot limit. Does anyone know how to increase the number of accounts that can connect to a server? Is there a work-around to idle with a lot of clients and one server account? I would expect at least 32 slots is possible?
type +maxplayers 32 into a server host launch settings
Is there a multi backpack viewer.. so you can look at multiple accounts without copying and pasting names into the websites one by one manually.. as this takes ages:(
type +maxplayers 32 into a server host launch settings
Thanks. Is 32 the limit? I just select the accounts i want to view and click the backpack button and they open in individual tabs in my browser.
