In my experience you get the disk space error when you don't give sandboxie full access to the drive where steam is installed.
thanks, so easy to forget, i was isolating my steamapps from corruption by making a second copy finally and making links to it, forgot about sandboxie file access and go the same could not connect/no space errors as him... btw, how do you make sure the idle account steam apps is up to date, just allow one of the sandboxes to update it and not the rest?

But that setting are barely saved. You may need to do it numerous times.
So do i have to join an online server, how do i do that? at the moment this is what tf2idle is running is this correct can i just leave it running now?
you will get drops with that, just leave it running
Thanks for the quick reply man.
What is a good startup command?
While connecting 15 accounts to a server, one account in particular connects during the process and then disconnects while the other 14 accounts connect fine. The account that connects/disconnects oddly out of the 15 accounts is a random account every time. My connection interval is 2 minutes and trying it with 4 minutes still caused the same issue. Any help would be appreciated. I guess not providing my actual folder setup information doesn't help in solving my problem though (but it seems like a connecting issue that can be rectified by Cloud's autohotkey script). server parameters: -textmode -nosound -low -novid -nopreload -replay_enable 0 -tvdisable -nojoy -width 640 -height 480 +sv_password 1234 -sw -port 29018 +sv_lan 1 +map itemtest +maxplayers 18 +mp_idledealmethod 0 connecting account parameters: -textmode -nosound -low -novid -nopreload -nohltv -nojoy -tvdisable -width 640 -height 480 -port 29018 +password 1234 +connect ########:29018 Edit: I set the account launch delay to 5 minutes and they all connect.
I have a problem on a new computer i tried tf2idle on. I set up everything, games, steam paths are all correct and up to date. But when i click "start idling" it opens steam, launches textmode tf2 and it just closes right after that. Steam is still working, but the game shuts down seconds after i see textmode, without any errors or anything at all. Anyone have that issue? Any suggestion to fix it?

Hello everyone! First of all I'd like to express my gratitude to Moussekateer for his devotion to the project and for sharing it with us - this program is a GREAT piece of "010010101" ;))) - i mena i rly LOVE it. Of course i also thanks to the community for your patience and guidance in this thread. However, im not posting only to share my love ... :( I went through almost the whole topic twice - just because my curiosity and found many issues that are appearing again and again and i BET that there already was the answer to my question but it's hard to navigate through all these pages to find it again :( (search option is not working for me dunno why). Anyway If you could help me with my idle steams which are always updating (~5 sec's updates)? I mean how to make them work fine and login without these updates? I came up with updating one in unsandboxed and copying the steam files (to the rest steam folders) manually but it's strenuous and painful :/ I also haven't found any detailed info on the GCF's - how to use them and what are they for (fixing the cache defrag loop bug?)? And again, thank you all for your patience - btw im thinking of gathering most common issues in one place to make the access to information easier.
Hello world! First off, thank you for this amazing program, unfortunately I have been unable to get my 8 idle accounts to work properly with this program. The problem I'm having is that when I press "Start idling" nothing happens and there are no error messages. Here are some images of how I setup everything: My Idle folder: http://imgur.com/a/I9myE#0 My sandbox settings: http://imgur.com/a/I9myE#1 My Idle account folder: http://imgur.com/a/I9myE#2 My TF2Idle Account details: http://imgur.com/a/I9myE#3 My TF2Idle settings: http://imgur.com/a/I9myE#4
Could someone make a step by step video on how to use this? I've been having nothing but trouble. I followed everything in the guide and i get an error when starting the account. http://imgur.com/qNH6a

You have to click on the accounts you wish to idle with and then press "Start idling." If you have, then maybe sandboxie is having difficulty starting. You can try right-clicking on one of your idle steam.exe's and selecting to run sandboxed and see if that works.
Need some more testers here. This version includes the much requested functionality where Steam and TF2 is started up with low priority. You have no idea how long it took to get this to work without writing to a bat file, and all the security and timing complications that method bought. Let me know if it works fine/doesn't for you.
what's the reasoning behind it running in low priority?
They have lower CPU priority so your computer should be more responsive than before when they're starting up/running. Some people also claim they it uses less memory.
i'll sure check low priority thing out. Btw,testing backpack.tf price version for several days,no problem whatsoever working really smooth.
This may seem silly, but did you select which accounts to begin idling with? And I really love the value feature. Thank you for your continued work on this.

Ok so i am having problems now i am adding more accounts, i can only idle 1 account sandboxed because i get this error here: Sandboxie has full rights too the C Drive where everything is installed and also none of my accounts save in tf2idle after it closes have to put them in again everytime. Can anyone help please. Nvm worked it out myself but accounts are still not saving how can i fix that?
A really weird problem, doesn't seem like anyone had it before: Basically, I set up everything all right, works if I try to launch it normally BUT, when I try to launch through the "Start Idling" button or just launch TF2 in those launch options generally, TF2 just doesn't launch. I do see processes in task manager, but they're all using just ~1000 MB of ram. Nothing happens. If I look at those accounts through steam friends, it's saying that they're playing TF2 yet... they're not. The only way to close those "fake tf2 launches" is to go into sandboxie and manually close hl2.exe in each one.

Mine said they were playing TF2 when they weren't and verifying fixed it(mine had the sanity to shut down when they failed to launch, though)
Erm guys, i added my main account to the program, all set up and i clicked idle unsandboxed i got a message "started logging" and it's been more than an hour with no luck in drops. I haven't idled for 5-6 months and it's my first time using this program, which seems really cool, but what am i doing wrong?

Does it say the "<username> has connected" message?

Im wondering if the steam staff cares if he notices that all my accounts are named in the same pattern? I mean is it ok if i name them like [same account name][number1,2,3,...] ?? Please answer :D
