I have them in the quote. Then, for the idle accounts connecting to the server, use the settings for connecting accounts. Replace the ### with your IP (run cmd.exe > type ipconfig, and it's the IPV4 address) and the :27017 with the -port specified in the idle account that is the server's settings. I still don't know how ports work, but I just set up the connecting idle accounts' settings' ports to be one number different from the server account's -port for the ip and it appears to connect 15 accounts without trouble by assigning ports that aren't in use automatically to joining idle accounts(?).

Got everything working thanks for the great tool (and guide from iviv)! Just wondering it is a pain to make new accounts, and then to make them premium. Currently I am deposting £4 into an account and buying an upgrade to premium gift to give to a new account, while I have to wait 3 days before I can trade the premium gift away so its extremely slow. Another method to make an account premium would be to deposit £4 into each accounts and buy a bag slot and then resell for 3 keys meaning each account only costs around £1.50. While this method takes a lot of effort and still has the wait time of 3 days before it can trade. So what methods are you guys with multiple accounts using to make your accounts premium? Is there a cheaper (or faster) way to make multiple accounts premium?

wait time? I buy premium gift on my main (premium) account, and after a new account is set up I can trade it to them. Setting up a new idle account (complete process) here takes around 10-15 minutes. And then they're ready to idle.

It makes the process very slow while I would prefer to do this as it makes 2 accounts premium at once!

Any topic/site where a lot of idlers gather? I'm particularly interested in people with over 30 accounts that idle, have some questions for them regarding scrapping/hardware involved :) Thanks, excellent tool btw

Because when I buy on one of my idles to get 2 premium at once there is a 3 day wait period before I can trade because the account is less that 30 days old.

puddlesheep, yes I buy them on my main. satangel: these are my pc stats: AMD Fx 6100 six core 3.30 GHz Ram 8 GB I'm thinking of running them in batchets of 4 or 5, because there's a dropcap at around 10 hours, you won't get items after that so I can run 5 one night, then the others another night. I do have a question about the dropcap is it only for weapons or also for crates?. I think it's both but read somewhere that crates have their seperate drop schedule. so is it worth running idle accounts for more 10hours /week? Also I've found a 'bug', when I was troubleshooting a friend: when your steampassword of idleaccount contains a special character (his contained a & and *) it will fail logging in on steam. changing the password to something alphanumeric fixes it. But would be nice if possible that you can use special characters (for the paranoia users). Already submitted it on the feedback page but wanted to post it here if others stumbled upon this.

Are you sure the one you've entered into the TF2Idle settings is correct?

So anyone who idles more than 5 or so accounts still running into the validating issue? I can't seem to find a way to avoid that. Obviously theres only 1 steamapps folder "linked" to 10 accounts of mine. I can get a few accounts to load up fine then one comes up and validates. Tried the whole update cgf optiong thing, reinstalled steam on all accounts, defragged cache files for each. Nothing. Yet my main account with its own seperate steamapps folder has never had validating issues and that's where I get the files to send to my 2nd steamapps folder. Very odd and quite annoying.

Very odd and quite annoying.[/QUOTE] The only time i ran into this issue was when sandboxie glitched and made one account get it's administrator rights dropped. What i did was give the first account the actual TF2 files and mklink the rest to that account's steamapps folder. Then i let TF2 launch once on every account, before i manually closed steam by going into steam -> Steam menu -> exit You can do a "force-fix" by: -Deleting everything but steam.exe and the steamapps folder in each idler's steam folder -Deleting all the cache(.gcf files) in the steamapps folder -Deleting everything in the account's team fortress 2 folders except /team fortress 2/tf/cfg -Starting up steam and TF2 once on every account The smartest thing would be to see if the sandboxie settings are properly set up first, as the above will be a shitload of hassle(and lead to you having to login through steam guard again on every account, and lead to you having to download/copy over TF2 again) However, each account would end up using less space on your harddrive(so squeezing in a couple of extra accounts in the same space might be possible) If you're wondering, the "fix" removes every file that could be corrupted and causing it to break, so unless something's seriously wrong with your harddrive, it having to verify again is impossible The amount of accounts you have running off of the same TF2 install makes no difference as well

Drops occur around 30-60 minutes from eachother: [img]http://i.imgur.com/Xmr6P.png[/img] Reteeks: What I did was validating it with one idleaccount (unsandboxed), when validation complets, defragment cache files. then open second account unsandboxed try running tf2, if it validates, cancel it and defragment cache files, it'll go faster. repeat for each account.

how i can put the line of value of the item?

in TF2idle go to File > Settings > Drop Log Show Item Values (enable it) Another tip for the validating files: properly exit steam first via menu. Don't just press terminate sandbox.
