I don't really understand what this has to do with the quality of the map? I thought by "maybe it's because you're running the game in N64 mode" meant this is why the map is so shitty, or why there's no skybox.

Yes I did and it's not cool. It has too many open roads for both teams, stupid sniperspots and basically turns it into a big trial and error for flag stealing instead of tactical fighting.
I played and it's not bad. You know, a normal map with some secret places.
