I dunno about this, but since I kinda liked Tycho character in Poker Night, I started reading Penny Arcade, to see what it was all about. Not long after starting, I found the origin of the comic that originated our promotional item, and it's a REALLY early comic (1999's), so I thought it'd be nice to share for those who didn't read it/don't remember anymore.

And the irony is that most people with this item will never give a damn about its origins because it's a TF2 promotional item. What have we learned today?
Max got me obsessed with Sam and Max. Been willing to try the games now.
If you haven't seen it, they have an episode from the first season for free (104 I think, "Abe Lincoln Must Die!") on Steam. They're very fun.

That you probably think quite highly of yourself because you have a small piece of knowledge that other people don't have?
Theres several comics in which the watch changes hands
Watching the watch? Not on my watch!
It's weird how much Penny Arcade changes throughout the years.

Haha, no.
That happens to me on a daily basis.

I don't think so, considering how damn many years it's been there. I mean... 99, man, 99.

I'm talking about the artwork.

It's also interesting to note how they're now not afraid to branch out into other projects, like automata.
I really enjoyed that stuff.

Huh... Me too?

Here's an example of Dangeresque Too, as it was featured in Telltale's episodic SBCG4AP series, as worn by Homestar/Dangeresque Too.
Max actually got me interested in the Sam and Max series, too. I never played the first games, and usually I like to play the first games in a series on up.
Is there a game out there where he beats a guy up with a tire iron with a blindfold on for real?
