What servers play this map
This looks awesome. Nice job. As for how it plays, I can't speak for that yet as I've yet to play it in a populated server, but I like what I see.
That make looks awesome, I'm gonna have to try it out and see if it plays well too.

I alpha tested this :D First assault ctf map I actually liked.
This map looks amazing.
Tested it out last night, beautiful map. Something I remember being an issue was access to the second intelligence drop off zone on the first map section. There aren't any sings indicating its whereabouts and having more than one way in might make it a little nicer to play, perhaps utilize more of the outdoor area? I found some of the inside bits slightly dull in comparison.
This looks great. I'll test this out on the Control Point servers tonight.

So has anyone gotten a chance to go out and play it? I'd like to hear some feedback on the gameplay. What parts are good? What parts suck? Anything that made you throw your keyboard across the room?

... You know I wrote that first post for a reason. But here it goes again anyways: It's like dustbowl. Only instead of capturing CPs, Blue delivers intelligence to CPs. It's not normal CTF. It's not assault CTF. It's attack and defend. Really, I'm not lying. That being said, if anyone has gotten the chance to play it, any feedback you can give me would be fantastic.

Both times we ran it on a full 24/24 server, 12 on a team. General thoughts were, "holy shit, this is pretty/good looking", and "this map is really fast", followed by "this map is just engineers vs. demomen". Everyone thought the ctf A/D angle was really unique and cool, but was unusually grindy, even compared to dustbowl. We'll play it some more and see if people can't come up with some constructive attack/defense strategies for the map. I think at least 8 people pointed out the black texture to the right behind the intel on 2.1 just outside of spawn. Dunno why that bugs people so much, but it does! Another thought was that you might want a CP texture for the capture zone, people were really confused (yes, really) on 2.2 about where, or how far they needed to push the intel to. People would get into the area and then taunt, and then get killed because they didn't realize they had to push it to the wall. You might want to seriously consider releasing this in cp_ and pl_ formats as well, sort of how waste was released in multiple formats. Not everyone may see your particular genius in making this a ctf map.
Hey, back again. I've updated the map to Beta 2! The biggest upgrade is the boost to framerate. The previous beta's framerate is actually pretty awful compared to now. Plus, since Valve doesn't seem to be patching custom particles, I took them out. That means HAARP will no longer cause glitchy particle effects. Exciting! Aside from technical issues, the map is easier to navigate in places, and is balanced better all-around. Let me know what you think! As always, I'm looking for more feedback.
This needs to be released as an official map, seriously.
Wow! :aaaaa: I thought it was a space map by the logo, but this is AWESOME! Really, we need more great ctf maps.
