thanks valve!
this is one hell of a birthday update
I can't see my crosshair, for some reason. Halp?
I think you just enabled hard mode
Eh, I'll keep my views normal, thanks.
I don't like the insane amounts of clipping and that sort. I don't use any items that would change the view such as the Essential Accessories or the Purity Fist so I don't mind.
I wish Steam would have warned me that opting out of the steampipe beta would make me have to reinstall the game :\

This is fantastic.

It would be cool if it was like L4D: just the body in world model and the arms and the wep in view model.
Welp, Steampipe, you were good while you lasted. :v:

I won't miss you whatsoever, steampipe.

if each TF2 shares the same inventory, but different schemas, won't something fuck up when items get added?

Wait, my tf2 is 12.2 GB, why is your game only 9?
While I'm logged in: When does SteamPipe go live for TF2, and for those in the beta, do you know if it's having any negative impact on idling? Thinking of getting my farm back up and running in preparation for the Summer Sale.

Pretty neat for some of the weapons (Heavy's fists, backstabbing people as a spy and the huntsman especially), but most of the weapon models aren't visible unless you look down, and overall, I think I'd rather stay with normal 1st person.
Is it weird how I have to set the command everytime I start up? Is there some way to save it or is it a messup on my end?
Also, I like how pipes like the mutton chops and the Bombardier show up in front of your face.

Personally I like the invisible weapon models; the TF2 characters don't always look down the sights, only when they need to, so when the huntsman comes up in front of your face it's just like the sniper does (though he does it a lot less jittery.).
Am I able to taunt in first person too? I just get the camera going to third person using this command.

Sure there's clipping, but it's cool.
Will they ever add thirdperson_overtheshoulder from l4d2? Like a real thing? I recall the shotgun in that game missing sounds when you went into thirdperson, is that here?
Third person in Degroot keep is over the shoulder, but it's not usable in any other mode.

I'm assuming putting it in your autoexec will set it up every time you start.
i think you can type it into the console, go to the key binding menu, and rebind one of the keys and it'll save for the next tome you launch the game. It's easier just to put it in the autoexec though.

good catch. I never knew there was a toggle thingy.
Also I missed a line too, the part where you actually bind it to a key.

The Shred Alert is rad as hell in first person
It feels like the camera is too forward; when I look down, I see my legs and that's it. No body.
And most of the guns don't show up unless I look down either.
I suspect it doesn't draw hats, only miscs?

Steampipe is a hell of a drug
Also one time I cloaked and pressed my high five key on accident, and it told me to pick someone to duel
I have no dueling minigames
what about a mask like le party phantom

Maybe it's like that so that glasses miscs don't get in the way?
Somebody should take a screen of the wedding ring equipped on the first person world model.
Has any one noted any performance loss with the world model shenanigans?
(dunno why there would or wouldn't be, just figured it'd be another thing to process)

It's the same here
