I feel so tempted to do something like that but the amount of effort you have to put into maya to just do 25 frames is crazy.

Ah that worked, thanks so much NeoDement. It looks blurirer now because I had to remove the "$alphatest" "1" on the seperate .vmt for the front guard, but at least now when I do that the rest of the model doesn't go invisible.

The model looks very good, I don't see any modifications to be made.
Now onto details:
Color the tf2 logo in gold (not silver) to fit with the hat, and don't forget the two golden stripes around the hat.
The thickest on top of the hat and the thinner one down.

I think I'll have to make the bars at the front solid cylinders in Max rather than using a flat plane because it looks quite bad at the moment. Also as you can see I played around with the coloring.

I actually think a modelled grating looks easily better than the material one could ever have.
That's either artistic or humorous, not quite sure. Not agreeable, though.

I like the Grey, but I think the mask on the front should be default black.
