For the taunt he throws the weapon from the left hand to the right and at the end throws it back again, which means the spy would be holding the weapon in his left hand when he's not taunting.
What sort of hands do you have, pal? [editline]01:39AM[/editline] He's clearly spinning it in his right (start) stabbing with his left (after throwing) and then has it in his right again (end).
oooh I see it now. That doesn't look like a stabbing motion it looks like a return to idle, that's why I was confused.
i believe they have got confused with the fact its his left not the spy's left. now carry on people.
I'm UV mapping my stapler for the first time - And well, it's easy enough, except the fact that it finds a plethora of faults in my mesh that I need to fix and it gets me really pissed. It's good though, because the model will be clean and shiny when I'm done. And textured.
So what programs are most commonly used when creating a weapon skin?
HELP! How do I put a hole through a model?
Reposting this while the Emporium's still hot. Like I said before, I'm completely dreadful at texturing and compiling and I need the kind help of anyone willing to offer it for these tasks. PM me if you can help and I'll send the necessary files. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I can UV and texture, still don't know how to compile.
I'd love to see Engie wearing the "Respectless rubber glove". That'd be hilarious.
http://www.fpsbanana.com/skins/90103
Whatever happened to that cool fire-mask someone finished/was doing for the pyro? someone was talking about the mask lense being to shiny, it was a few emporiums back, and i never heard of it again.
so, you're trying the chinese hat too :( well, good luck.
That doesn't sound very reassuring. I chose it because it was simple. Why do you say that?
That doesn't sound very reassuring. I chose it because it was simple. Why do you say that?
well I tried it a few times, but never got it right. Hope you can finish it!
http://sparkwire.thanez.net/tf2/carbine/ carbine reload work in progress
please give him some time to actually grab new ammo box oh and he really shouldn't swing the weapon with right hand so much, I saw this in almost all your animations and you know what is good? Try like holding a broomstick and simulate reload animation right on your person and on that broomstick :D do it naturally like you would hold real gun and study movement of your hands, then try to simulate what you learned on that animation.
New thread needs new backgrounds and banners.
I was making a new, TF2 themed minipromo. I should be done in a few years.
Thanks Neo. That worked. Though I'm not sure if I wanted it to work, for the horrors that awaited...
Says its offline for me.
had to edit, was lagging network, so i shut it down
So what programs are most commonly used when creating a weapon skin?
Question not answered. I want to create one, but I want to know what is best.
first off, img_thumb that please secondly, the blunderbuss was a notable weapon used during the early settlement days in boston, mass. this weapon (as per luxy's old grandpa's gear pack) would fit just nicely because it would be a vintage weapon from that time, and it would follow the scout's roots for his birthplace/hometown of boston, mass.
:geno: I am speckledorped
Question not answered. I want to create one, but I want to know what is best.
for textures you need only some bitmap editor, gimp or photoshop are used most of times I think, for models it really depends on support the program has, both maya and xsi mod tools have official valve tools for export/import but xsi can only do .smd model which are old and maya can do .dmx which are new so its probably best to use maya (but xsi is free to download and use). 3ds max can do .smd and is easy to use :) so your answer is in this order (choose what fits you best) 1) best to use is maya (but its not free) 2) best to use is xsi (becuase its free) 3) best to use is 3dsmax (becuase its easy to use)
Hey Nzdjh, if you wanted to make your launcher have a more "aviator" feel, why not make rockets with propellers on the end that after being fired fall for a second then shoot out, much like a torpedo? Instead of making a nuke into the launcher? :v:
