He tried that, but it didn't look right I think
He tried that, but it didn't look right I think
But that wasn't a solid color texture, as far as I know.
You referred to one with net, so I assumed you meant that, but one with a solid color that is slightly transparent without a pattern however might work.

Uhh? What the heck is that thing in the wall?
I think the standard team coloured version is best, because it looks different from the regular hat, and it looks simpler than the other versions with patterns. In TF2, simple is better. The more complex it looks, the more out of place it will be. And with just the standard team colour, it's great. [editline]11:12PM[/editline] @ engi hat if anyone is confused about it :v:
Uhh? What the heck is that thing in the wall?
its a leech.
Uhh? What the heck is that thing in the wall?
Hint: The gun is called a leechgun.
Well, to me it sure doesn't look like it. Looks more like a untextured christmas light :v:
That's one hell of bigass leech. You should make it smaller
That's one hell of bigass leech.
the thing on the end squeezes it so it gets inflammed and swells up. either that or its engoring itself on the thing its stuck to, swelling up. turbo leech.
I think the leechgun should have leeches attach to the target which drain health after 5 seconds of being attached, draining 3hp/sec, the more leeches, the more health drained, the leeches would fall off after about 10 seconds after starting to leech health away, then it'd give the medic the leeched health no matter where the enemy is, it'd have a smaller clip size and maybe a slow rate of fire.. I think it'd be a pretty cool alternative to the Blutsauger gimme a boxfort Page king? What? No way
His shovel can't be on fire, it's already ablaze with passion. Something I just thought of at the moment: why did no one make a kilt for the Demoman? It seems so obvious. I can't make guns me :downs: [IMG_THUMB]http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e30/NaboeN/THISISNTPROGRESSATALL.png[/IMG_THUMB]
This. This is what I've always thought when seeing the progress of you making it. I think it would look a lot better than now. Refer to this: http://www.qualitysupply.com/images/misc/PF-woodsmen-helmet.jpg Note that the mesh is very small, at a distance, it would look like a plastic screen.
I've tried all of this, I first started with a translucent flat plane as you can see in my old renders, that didn't work because transparency doesn't come out very well in TF2 and it would look generally bad anyway. I then decided to go for a complete plastic screen, but this made the hat look way to modern and for the contest I have to try and keep things within the TF2's style, the hat itself looks quite modern as it is and that screen would have put it over the top. I then modeled out the mesh at the front of the hat, which looked so much better, the only issue was is it would look horrible from far away, and was too overcrowded and once more I was looking to simplify the design not overcomplicate it as that didn't fit with TF2's style. In otherwords having loads of cylinders on the mesh looks worse period. So then I cut down the amount of cylinders in the mesh as suggested by a poster, which looked so much better and was more simple and polygon-friendly. It's simplicity also fit more with TF2's style.
I doubt anyone here has that mod.
why not, it was an excellent mod that made it easier to play as medic. You could actually see the needles. [editline]10:04PM[/editline]
http://www.filefront.com/16738309/nail_trails.rar Not made by me in any way, obviously. Bolty took down all his cool particles from FPSB. :c http://boltysparticles.blogspot.com/ (Sorry for late response, and late if someone already answered.)
Ahh, thank you So much.

There we go. I might look at doing the beta soldier icons later, since I now have a full psd template for these hud icons, but for now I'm going to leave it.
I don't make releases anymore as I send everything in now
Sparkwire needs to change the angle of the Leecher, and this is why: Let's examine the Blutsauger: I've attempted to draw a perspective line from the back part of the barrel to the end of the gun, illustrating how it lines up with the cursor. Now, let's look at Spark's Leecher positioning: I've attempted the same thing with this gun. As we can see, it's angled too far right. I wasn't able to extend the line any more than that due to perspective issues. If you think that Spark needs to rotate the gun counter-clockwise to match the existing weapon, agree with this post. I have Spark's word(ish):
6:12 PM - iGalago: if I get a good amount of agrees, will you change it? 6:14 PM - Alamagambadala: i can try
I think you're exaggerating the angle a bit, but I agree that it is too far to the right. (Edit: New screenshot is accurate, really shows that it's too far to the right)
actually no, I have reinstalled them twice already with only the soldier's Backpack showing up on screen...
I just renamed my tf folder and installed the backpack icon, then the crafting icon. They both work fine.
This leecher thing actually creeps me out a little...
I fucking hate leeches
Also, each world-model leech is the size of a small armadillo. Give this post friendlies if Sparkwire should reduce the size of the leech-adillos.
Can you make an alternate that removes the writing in the front. It's out of place imo.
Can you release all those as skins for the gibus if they don't get ingame? If they don't get accepted into the game I will be dissapointed.
