Hats are ultimately aethetic (that's what Valve intended them for they're purely decorative) they don't serve any other purpose and therefore don't have to be realistic. Therefore how good the hat looks aesthetically is my main goal, so I'm willing to give up realism for the cost of how good the hat looks, If you look at my earlier posts were I have attempted a larger net there a two major issues: 1) A less condensed mesh using transparency looks awful, no hats in the game use transparency in this way for that reason because aesthetically it looks terrible: [IMG]http://i45.tinypic.com/2ujsh6r.jpg[/IMG] 2) A less condensed mesh looks awful at a distance, and bearing in mind the intention is to have the hat in-game a lot of people are going to viewing the hat at a distance,[B] I've tested this in game [/B]and the 1st version of the mesh looks awful at range and even 16x AA cannot compensate for this, you have bear in mind that hats are purely aethetic and I have to consider that there are going to be people with very low settings with no Anti-Aliasing, sothis change was made for the sake of looks not realism. Hey guys! Due to my ban, I had decided to get in some well deserved TF2 time since I've been so busy with practicing on making mods and new friends and gearing up to do some cool shit in TF2. Also there are some great Tribal Man's Shiv skins.[/QUOTE] That's not how it works. The regular Kukri uses v_models and W_models, while the Shiv uses c_models. So to make it work you'd have to decompile the custom Kukri model, remove everything but the weapon and assign the weapon_bone bone to the weapon and compile it as a replacement for the Shiv, and even than, it'll be facing the wrong direction becasue of the bug.

(It'd take an hour to upload a vid anyway, it took me 20 mins of uploading, sending my Kabuto to Valve in the first place, Australian internet connections are crap) And I assure you, them strings are jiggly. And yes his thumb clips through the string, but it's no matter, that animation is used at the class selection screen, and he only wears the original hat then.
Is there anyone on here who could give me a hand producing one of those update page images that resemble stuff like this, for my polycount pack :(.
