I was thinking of opening some crates until that post popped up saying that you couldn't get Unusuals from later crates and have a .55% chance of getting them from series 1 and 2..

Got an Unusual Steel Pot with Green Energy a few weeks ago from crate, traded that for one with Vivid Plasma, traded that for Drill Hat with TF2 Logo. My Soldier looks like a BAMF with it and my Gentlemanne Medal equipped.

I didn't.

I'm about to open 4 crates. Wish me luck :v: E: Oh well. Whoopee, Desc. Tag, Gunboast,. Dueling Minigame. At least I got a hat, which I can trade for something E: I decided to open 2 more. No crates left :v:. Got another desc. tag and homewrecker. You lucky bastards :v:

I would find some extra funds in my bank account. I would go up to the TF2 store and buy a key. After getting said key, I would waltz over and shell out items for a crate. Sometimes this would cost me a lot. Then, after getting a crate, I would proceed to find the best series crate (in my opinion) and open it with the key, praying for an unusual, any unusual. All that praying is for naught, as I find the same homewrecker as I find in every other crate except for the one with the Handle. I would vow never to waste money on a key ever again. Later, I would find some extra funds in my bank account...

When the MANN-CONOMY update rolled out, I bought a single key. With this single key I opened my first crate. Inside, was a glowing brain slug. :buddy:

Crate, then a series of progressively less dumb trades. Uncrated hearts hound dog. Trades: Searing plasma engineer cap Vivid plasma sola topi Searing plasma drill hat Vivid plasma nappers Ghosts football helmet Searing plasma tricorne Vivid plasma shako Purple energy whoopee cap Scorching flames stuntman Purple energy shako Purple energy pot Weeks wasted on trade servers. I'm done with unusuals.

I might get an unusual tomorrow if I'm lucky. My friend in school has tired of TF2, and he used to be a pretty good trader. He said he could give me one the next time he's on TF2, which most likely will be tomorrow.

But unusuals ruined TF2 with particle effects, why would you wear one!?!?

While I don't feel that particle effects should have been in TF2 from the first place, since they're here to stay I might as well enjoy them. I think TF2 as a whole would have been more enjoyable without unfitting hats and unusual effects, but as it is now I can at least try to enjoy the current cancer bestowed upon us. There are some things unfitting that I can still enjoy, although if the game removed them completely I would still cheer. [editline]9th December 2010[/editline] Ps.
