Next, allow me ask what the reasoning was behind changing the paint to be on the band of the Stovepipe only, but making the Billycock a solid color. I am saddened that I'll no longer have a fully Drab Stovepipe, especially since I was dumb and paid money for the paint.

2 friendship, royzo wanted to have the billycock like that

Daimao made 2 versions, one fully colored and one with just the headband.
He then put the two pictures up here on Facepunch and asked what we preferred, and the majority thought it looked a lot better just having colored the band.

If you get a nametag refund because you feel the paint change has ruined the theme of your stove pipe, I want a game purchase refund because the introduction of the brainslug ruined the artstyle.

What I don't understand is why he chose to make the top hat band only when it's only moderately bad looking in full color, and yet he kept the fro painting the hair instead of the band, despite the fact that practically every fro color looks stupid.
the only solution i see is having valve put an official voting thing on the blog on how the tophat should be painted...
and what ever other there is a notable discussion about...
if the one on FP wasn't enough...

my thoughts on the matter is that although only the band is fancy its less noticeable and not worth painting perhaps
i still think it sould be fully colorable and that the tophat from the Noble Amassment of Hats (as well as the boater from the tower) should be made a separate hat where the paint should only apply to the band
(which also makes sense since its 9 hats in one making you have to use less paint on each :p)
and the whole collection should have paintable bands like in daimao's earlier demonstration, it looked good and made sense
