I still find the Tricorne to be an acceptable hat though, unlike the Brainslug. It's colors doesn't deviate from the artstyle, it fits perfectly with his eyepatch, it also fits his drunken, overconfident and sadistic personality. It's not the best hat in the game, but it's a hell lot better than the Brainslug.
Oh I don't think it deserves such a low artstyle score either, but I really don't get how the exact same hat concept can get 2 different "fits character" ratings.
Would there be interest in a "TF2 For Bitter Assholes" mod? It'd disable either hats or paints, and disable text chat so the player's eyes won't be sullied by the plebes trading their wares like so many communists. Maybe I'd remove the shop button as well, I dunno.
Lolwut, hat traders are communists? How the fuck is a free market system communist?
And If you're even more Poor and Irish. To add some mod-related content: I'm thinking of redoing the Trailblazer (again) or at least heavily modifying it because currently the shape feels too regular/boring whereas the flamethrowers usually have a more exaggerated shape.
Got any news form Valve about your paint fixes? (other than it is delayed :saddowns:)
Sparkwire and Neodement are right. From now on anything not directly related to progress on a mod, criticizing people's mods or the Emporium will be regarded as a bannable offense.
I know I'm being offtopic, but what's there to discuss if there are no mods in progress anyway? Also, Royzo's OP is already filled up with mods. If we'd only talk about mods and releases, we'd get more mods in one emporium and then both Royzo's and your OP would be filled up and no more mods could be added/would need to be left out. [editline]1st December 2010[/editline] But on the other hand, I have to admit we were being offtopic too much. Is being a bit offtopic still okay? :v:
But on the other hand, I have to admit we were being offtopic too much. Is being a bit offtopic still okay? :v:
It's okay, as long as you want to pack your bags and move to the Refugee Camp for a while.
Jesus christ. Like every megathread on Facepunch always stays on rails forever. (User was banned for this post ("Spam [Jaanus]" - Daimao))
Choo, choo! First departure!
I don't want to. :saddowns: Also, Inacio, I talked to someone who said he'd de/recompile the Iron Curtain for teamcolours.

From now on anything not directly related to progress on a mod, talking about a mod, criticizing people's mods or the Emporium will be regarded as a bannable offense.
Daimao, I don't want to bitch, but why is criticizing people's mods bannable? I understand it's a bannable offense when they're not giving constructive criticism, but most of the time what makes a mod good is because people tell what to improve. I'm just throwing this out there so I'm not hoping to backseat moderate, but I think people should only be banned when they're offtopic too much and not talking about mods, but about Team Fortress 2 PSP2GO or shit like that.

Criticism is allowed. Ninjad.
What about mod ideas(as long as it doesn't stray off topic too much)?

Ninja'd so many times it hurts If I had nerve endings
What about mod ideas(as long as it doesn't stray off topic too much)?
You're still talking about a (potential) mod, so it's fine.
Ah crap my tf 2 is slightly broken at the moment so any mods are on a stand still from me till I fix it obviously. [sp]since when did I finish any of my mods except the 2 I've submitted and you can see how well there doing in game... oh wait.[/sp] [editline]18:08pm[/editline] Dont want to be a kiss ass but its about fucking time. Thank you Daimao. Now I can browse this thread and not have to sort through the crap of people talking useless babble.
Ah, sorry. I hate quick, sloppy reading.
Little Request to Daimao: Can you post a tutorial on how to make hats paintable? There're few skins which don't work for me and I want to fix that (at least try).
i have a reoccurring problem: when i play tf2 my game crashes if i try to access a menu or receive a new item if i'm on a server... this has happened before but i'm not sure if it got resolved by an update or me removing all my mods/reinstalling tf2 basically, could having to many mods cause this? ... also i was thinking of making a pack in wich one could select new/alternate emblems for each of the classes this would include regular emblems where they are atm and alternate new places which i fin they could be put... here's some examples:
all class: tf2 symbol Engineer: actual wrench sentry sheriff star demo: dynamite stick everywhere bomb logo everywhere sticky bomb everywhere bottle jolly roger targe bagpipe heavy: sanvich soviet hammer sickle minigun front beta skull n bones boxing glove scout: bat lightning bolt ear piece soldier: grenade shovel eagle sniper: boxing kangaroos jarate arrowhead pyro: duck axe gasmask medic: bone saw syringe swastika volkswagen mercedes spy: revolver sapper butterfly knife etc.

It's probably been asked before but can someone make a REAL Glengarry for the Demoman bonnet. Here's a picture: [img_thumb]http://www.glengarryhats.com/images/glens/large/glengarryhatblack_white_red_blk.jpg[/img_thumb]
I think I agree with this. We need an actual Glengarry for the Glengarry Bonnet.
Anyway, Is anyone willing to take up the electric dart gun concept of mine?
someone is making a guitar flamethrower over at polycount http://www.polycount.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1245333&postcount=3270 [editline]1st December 2010[/editline]
I think I agree with this. okay great.... looks like no work on my mods at all for the moment 3ds max thought you know what would be funny. If I went and corrupted your files and wont open any more. [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5710250/FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF.png[/img_thumb]
I hope you saved a copy of that scene, looks nuts.
in that case same thing with all hats that have a slightly inaccurate name, like the fedora
Well Royzo made the Fedora for his unofficial update. What other hats have incorrect names?
it was my shank knife I had 2 different version of it in that one scene to take a render and show you guys. One the soap bar + glass like voted and the other was the traditional glass with bandage wrapped around. Was a shame I actually liked them as well 1st models I've done in a long time & had a feeling "Yeah this may have a small chance of getting in"
in that case same thing with all hats that have a slightly inaccurate name, like the fedora
Good idea. Requesting this.
how about a magneto helmet for the engineer? here is my concept art for this very original idea. it would totally have electricity and shit coming off it whenever he has stuff building, kinda like the hotrod.
in that case same thing with all hats that have a slightly inaccurate name, like the fedora
I used to constantly fix that my self in the items.txt like renaming it fancy trilby, I think there mostly "wrong" for alliteration The Toque how ever is just a fuck up.
[img_thumb]http://www.le-chameau-clothing.co.uk/ires/53/LCC/lccProductImages/russian-hat.jpg[/img_thumb] Has this been done for the Ushanka already? [img_thumb]http://wefashion.scene7.com/is/image/wefashion/75615543_60_1[/img_thumb] And this for the Toque?
I used to constantly fix that my self in the items.txt like renaming it fancy trilby, I think there mostly "wrong" for alliteration The Toque how ever is just a fuck up.
Traitorous Trilby. The Toque IS a fuck up, though, I agree.
I used to constantly fix that my self in the items.txt like renaming it fancy trilby, I think there mostly "wrong" for alliteration.
How about Treachorous Trilby? Is this off-topic as it is to do with a mod technicaly. :ninja: Ninja's
Good ideas, especially the second one. Automerge Ninjas.
Well Royzo made the Fedora for his unofficial update. What other hats have incorrect names?

Stove pipe hats are commonly referred as top hats with straight sides. The Demoman's top hat appears to have curved sides, making it more akin to the 'Chimney pot' style.
only good example I found but most of valves hats have a slightly inaccurate name apparently
[img_thumb]http://wefashion.scene7.com/is/image/wefashion/75615543_60_1[/img_thumb] And this for the Toque?
Its actually spelt Tuque. The model its self is fine. A Toque is a form of chef hat [img_thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/bc/William_Orpen_Le_Chef_de_l%27H%C3%B4tel_Chatham%2C_Paris.jpg[/img_thumb]
