Maybe use the TF2 card from Poker Night?
http://www.softpedia.com/progViewOpinions/Game-Extractor-33864,.html Probably useful, and definitely late. If anyone has the original link somewhere, it would be much appreciated.
How do you take pics in blender?
something similar to the destroyed effect on this? [img_thumb]http://www.xavierck.com/images/art/polypack_2.jpg[/img_thumb] ignore the medic syringe
Yeah! :buddy:
What happened to the models of the paint cans and crate being made? Did the guy making them finish? [editline]4th December 2010[/editline] I know its for the sniper, but it would also look good with the Engy some how, i must be thinking of Back To The Future Again.
The ironsight looks like it needs to be scaled down. Also we need more types of Sniper Rifle in game; you can't ask me to replace my Skullbuster, but I don't want to miss out on wonderful stuff like this. Oh, and the Sydney Sleeper needs a fix, but hey, OOOLD.
Well... since no one told me how to take a picture, i just print screened it. I'm trying to make a deerstalker for spy, and since i just got blender, i figured i'd just try and model the actual hat before i try and model it on the spy... Here's the pic i was using (just shape, gonna learn to paint after i get the shape right And here's what i have http://i52.tinypic.com/eb1p3l.jpg Its a bit big >.>
Hey guys, been pissed off at this scarf thing for awhile. I finally got myself to stop vomiting and i totally remembered that i forgot to post these pieces of WIP. I am starting work on it again. I hope i can finish it soon!
The scarf is looking good trey.
Just make them bigger.
i deleted the old one and made one as per automatic knifes request. [img_thumb]http://sparkwire.thanez.net/SendPresents/uploads/shittyknife.gif[/img_thumb]
I hope I'm not to late in the process to say this but, even if TF2 is sorta not realistic, I think that the ejection port should be on the other side. It really bugs me aside from that I love it. Maybe have it shoot flack shells? and replace rocket launcher? or just a shotgun replacement that has less bullets per shot and more damage.
Well... since no one told me how to take a picture, i just print screened it.
For future reference, it's F12.
Heatwaves would probably be more of a particle thing. Never touched them much, but I'm pretty sure the pyro's compression blast is a particle effect, so it's entirely possible to create distortions in the air that way. Speaking of which, I think adding heatwaves into actual flames would be a pretty cool thing. Probably really terrible for the fps though
Hmfmmgghgh let me do it please [editline]4th December 2010[/editline]
I hope I'm not to late in the process to say this but, even if TF2 is sorta not realistic, I think that the ejection port should be on the other side. Wow holy fuck.
Mnemosynaut is credit to team! I've been having compiling errors for like 3 days. He's also helping me with the UV, Thanks man! :3:
What's the stripe in the middle of the thing though, it looks weird.
What's the stripe in the middle of the thing though, it looks weird.
Thats the UV breaking the 4th wall :v:
Neo, did you and Daimao ever finish the texturing on that confederate cap yet?
Does anyone know where I can find tutorials on creating tf2-esque models using 3ds max? The ones at SPUF aren't cutting it and there are no tutorials I can find on youtube. :frown: Thanks for any help guys!
I applied another multire level to make the deerstalker look more smooth after getting some critique from some friends: And then I tried to make a spy face, but it fails and is rather large, so a link it shall be http://i55.tinypic.com/3466ag0.jpg So far blender is pretty fun, though the only thing i can actually do is sculpt, and not even that well... I also don't know how big the hat is supposed to be to work in tf2, because right now, i'm just starting with the normal square, adding more layers so it becomes circular, and then sculpting. Should the tie on the deerstalker be of a separate building block, or should i try and make the knot a part of it? Edit: Sorry for huge pic...gonna go cut it in paint..

Thanks man, I really want to make some models too, but I don't even know where to start.

I was thinking of trying to do some of this shit... I don't know what I should do.
If anyone could make this hat [img_thumb]http://www.newyorker.de/microsites/collection-winter-2010/site/images/fbs-fb/FB_Kreuzung-0041_RGB_final.jpg[/img_thumb] for the scout, I'd love you forever. (The one on the dude)
Show us some pictures?
Please don't laugh. :smith: [img_thumb]http://filebox.me/files/cv614p5sr_poop.png[/img_thumb] It's supposed to be an elf hat, complete with ears. I have no idea how to get just the hat portion of the model to become smooth. I tried using Msmooth, but that made it looks weirder than it is already. Is there a modifier I should use?
Fixed the clipping: [img_thumb]http://imgur.com/WBeml.png[/img_thumb] Anyone want to texture it? I suck at that shit. Be warned though, the UV map is a little messy.
I know you're going on a real model, but I think it's missing something. Considering how big the ammo drums are on the current heavy miniguns I think you should add one. Looks like that one just fits the machinery but no ammo.
[img_thumb]http://sparkwire.thanez.net/tf2/FAR/far_reload.gif[/img_thumb] [editline]3rd December 2010[/editline] the handle and clips are jigglered
First thing you do after inserting the clip is to reload the gun - otherwise you don't have bullet/shell in the chamber. If the gun is automatic it still needs hand word to pull the first shell in. After that the gas from firing the gun does the reloading. It appears the gun has gas chamber going to the reloading mechanism from the main chamber the bullets fly though. In any case, it's supposed to be a lighter model - all the ammo that's needed is stored inside the main round part.
