On the topic of heatwaves for pyro flames... Something that always bothered me is that pyro's flames won't emit light. :v: Can something be done about it?
no

Is it brighter without the paint?

The hammer doesn't move.
Is it brighter without the paint?
Yea..
also is it just me? It says im not connected to steam on tf2.
Is it brighter without the paint?
If it is maybe you could try to trade it for a color you like. it dumb to remove paint.
I'm going to release the c_model animations when I get back from holiday shopping, alright?
Here's the Engineer ones in advance. Per request of Recurracy.

Excellent. I would love the v_model animations too, those would help me alot. But we all know you're busy :saddowns:.

Doesn't paint go away after a certain # of trades?
Where did you hear that, completely nonsense.

Problem with MDLdecompiler, the one I was linked too at least. Any help?
Repost for help, or a link to a different decompiler :v:

I can't wait to be a worthless piece of shit all day and make all these models
Ohhhh FUCK! It's corrupted!
Talk of daimao going out for Christmas shopping. Thread instantly goes off topic about painting?

SPUF probably.

If you can do that in real life the bullet won't kill the guy, your barrel will poke the fuck out of someone's eye.
Try launching it with model viewer open/refreshing sdk content

The only thing that bothers me is that there's pretty much no idle animation, it's pretty much stiff when idle.
The Syndey Sleeper suffers from that too.

Too bad most of you do not know how to make the rigs compatible. daimao will probably threaten me when he gets back to release mine, although they are for 3ds max 2011.

I think the animation could be much more simpler, like what the guy does in this video.

Thanks for the suggestion, but still getting the same error.
Here's two guns combined into a kind of "just a gun" shotgun that doesn't really look like a shotgun.
[img_thumb]http://img94.imageshack.us/img94/2566/mysteeri.jpg[/img_thumb]
While it's probably not going to work as a shotgun replacement thanks to the magazine, it'll hopefully end up in the weaponizer server one day with custom animations.
I don't like it because its the whole shotgun\machine gun thing
I know that tf2 isn't realistic but still the idea bugs me.

Well, it's still a big-ass gun. And so is the Rocket Launcher. I seriously like it.
It's really nicely made, but it does seem a little too realistic. I'm not sure why...
It's unrealistic! It's not realistic enough!
Who cares about realism? It looks good and in the end that's all that matters.
Why Kritzkrieg have same model as medigun in Manage Items?
Maybe it just seems a little too 'modern warfare-y'. If you look at the other guns in game:

They're stylised and they don't look anything like a modern gun, while Svdl's looks like something from Call of Duty, but rendered in TF2's style.
I have no idea what you could about it without scrapping the whole weapon though :v:
[editline]4th December 2010[/editline]
I'm thinking maybe it's a little too detailed - looking at the pistol, it's basically just a solid block with a texture on it, while yours has lots of grips, handles, raised and lowered areas on it. It looks great, but I don't know how appropriate it is for TF2.
Awww fuck yes, just got myself 3ds max 2011 trial. :neckbeard:
Time to get modelling
Svdl whatever you do please don't scrap this thing, I've been wanting something like this for the longest time
Hey Sparkwire, could you please release those animation rigs you made, if they're for the Engineer?

When I said the gun looks like "just a gun", this is exactly what I was referring to. I wouldn't say it's due to the abundance of modeling detail since the pistol has plenty and the smg even more.
I'd say it's more about the overall stylization. The proportions are way more exaggarated in those two guns.

Even though it does have slight exaggaration, they may be too slight.
But it's still a gun that wouldn't work in real life and is cobbled together from the looks of several 1950 and before guns so I resent the call of duty accusations :colbert:. Funny though, only when I added three holes and a carry handle to this everyone brough out the modern warfare comparisons.
[img_thumb]http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/551/bargun.jpg[/img_thumb]
An old version I added stuff on because it was far too plain.

I'm not scrapping it, it's in sparkwire's hands now. My part in this is pretty much done.
