How the fuck do you know which piece corresponds where
If you make it, you know where it is.

That's me every time.
But I'm worse...

And yeah, the only way to know which parts belongs where is either be me, or trial and error. That, and looking at the shadows.
Or you could colour code it, I would do that if I didn't do my own textures.
Needs two small ammo cylinders on each side like a real minigun would have

It would be pretty cool if you could add a huge ammo backpack on the back, but I'm not sure if it'd look good.

I can just imagine the heavy picking that up by the barrel and hitting poor spy over the head with it. Laughing and then eating sandvich.
EDIT:
Damn, page king twice in less than 1 day. ( 24 hours )
there has to be a better way
maybe a 3-D image editing system?

Plenty of programs allow you to texture in 3D view, but most people prefer working in Photoshop.
Or GIMP in my case, because I'm too poor to afford Photoshop.

You should make the tape yellow, and if I am correct...

The parts I've painted yellow are the bits of tape on the minigun, right?
I use photoshop :smug:
after we yelled at you for using mspaint

I concur.
But can we see a full screen shot of that so that it's not cut out, I wan't to get a feel of what it looks like properly.
Okay.

is it going to remain white
It looks like a brass knuckle with a minigun attached to the ring finger.
is it going to remain white
Of course not, that's just the AO.
Heh, the barrels look ridiculously small compared to default minigun.
Daimao, does your decompiler put the .qc command $opaque (makes a model have dynamic shadows) in .qcs it generates?

Version 7? Archaic?
I use Photoshop Elements 6 :v:.
Prehistoric image editing programs for the win.

Slowly but surely working t'wards the textures.
Heh, the barrels look ridiculously small compared to default minigun.
That's because the default minigun is using a special v_model, and this is using a c_model. Here's a comparison of the world model and view model for the minigun:

As you can see, the view model has bigger barrels.
Oh, nice comparison picture!
I hope valve updates the world model so it looks like v model and then apply the c model animations for unity. :buddy:
good comparison, never noticed it before....
