Then, go get the SMD import/export plugin for your version of Blender. Finally, extract and decompile the model from TF2s GCF files, so you know how to do all this in the future.

I could do it differently though, if people really want me to.

He'll not have made it perfect, but he'll no doubt have done something better than tape, perhaps much thinner tape and a slightly miscoloured (slightly enough that you wouldn't notice it unless looking for it) metal?

I guess that'll look much better. Fuck, fuck fuck fuck, I can't edit the mesh anymore or the UV map gets all screwed up.

Recurracy, why don't you get the FJ parts and the pistol parts of your FJ Pistol to keep their UV maps, and then just make new textures for the new parts?

As you can probably see it's missing the ammo belt and some proportions may be slightly different, as well as having no UV or texture.
