And food for thought on the demo mask, why not add a bodygroup for a shorter one so that when (if) Valve accept it they can have a bodygroup on the mask toggle when hats are active, or have it full length otherwise.

Valve recompiled the pain train for different classes. It was originally for pyro. I'm sure they can do the same thing for a hat. Though I can't think of any class it will fit, or if it would be a hat or misc.

good point. The pain train's actually BETTER for the pyro because it has z-fighting on a side that you were never supposed to see, but you can with the soldier and demo's animations.

Yes I simplified it by saying the collision model, but what is fixed is the model's orientation.
Never recompile guns/hats with their default "idle" animation (decompiled). That animation is borked and WILL fuck up your model's orientation.

Alright, so I fixed the blue color to match Tf2's color scheme, now all that's is the alpha for paint.

That should be the final colour. Looks good!

as long as it fits the targe (maybe lighter since the whole gradient thing)
the thing that bothers me about my stunt-helmet is how bad it looks with the targe :c

can you remove plastic looking strap on the back?
Strap doesn't fit too well with the mask, it looks a bit out of place imo.
