I have a request. Fix this if possible: http://i.imgur.com/Jzgi9.jpg If the world and view model both end up being the same c_model though... I will be dissapoint.
It is so tiny!
Soooo, what happens after the secret gamemode release?
Gamemode should be the ability to fight Tycho, Strong Bad, and Max I'd jizz everywhere [editline]22nd November 2010[/editline] Gamemode should be the ability to fight Tycho, Strong Bad, and Max I'd jizz everywhere
Here's what I'm talking about: [IMG_thumb]http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/606/miniviews.png[/IMG_thumb] Left side is c_heavy_arms holding w_minigun and right is v_minigun_heavy, which is used in-game. The red lines show the bottom of your in-game view line. v_minigun_heavy actually modifies the proportions of the minigun so that the ammo drum is in view and pushes it further into the Heavy's off-screen hand so that it looks bigger. Since c_heavy_arms are holding the same minigun seen in the world view, the proportions are forced to be realistic and thus the ammo drum is offscreen. The whole thing looks smaller because if they pushed it back any further the properly-proportioned handle would clip into the screen; notice that on the v_minigun_heavy verison the handle is pushed way down into the gun so that it can be out of sight. [IMG_thumb]http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/4347/miniviews2.png[/IMG_thumb]
How does the minigun work anyway? I don't see a trigger on any of the handles.
How does the minigun work anyway? I don't see a trigger on any of the handles.
Heavy's emotional connection to sasha is so powerful that he can just think about firing it and she will comply
Heavy's emotional connection to sasha is so powerful that he can just think about firing it and she will comply
It must not be that powerful if he's willing to wager her in a poker tournament. :eng101:
So due to Iron Curtain using C model, the work on the gatling me and LT_C were working on will continue.
Hey Shugo. Will you be adding a new Iron Curtain firing sound to your Improved/Fixed Weapon Sounds? Perhaps a more older sounding version of the default minigun. If not, please do because I'm in love with that minigun.
It must not be that powerful if he's willing to wager her in a poker tournament. :eng101:
But he wagers the Iron Curtain :eng101: And that doesn't even have a name, it's just Iron Curtain
Soooo, what happens after the secret gamemode release?
TF2Maps.net gets another shitty gimmick of a contest and the medic gets some new gear. Oh and on the subject of the c_models I for one would much rather have a badly needed performance boost then big ass weapons that cover up half the screen.
But he wagers the Iron Curtain :eng101: And that doesn't even have a name, it's just Iron Curtain
He calls it Sasha in-game. Either he has two guns named "Sasha" or one of them is the predecessor to the other. The TF2 Blog did mention that the Iron Curtain is Heavy's "first gun", so maybe it's the original version of Sasha...paradoxically now existing alongside the current one. OR one of them is "Sasha" and the other is "Sascha". What a playa, that Heavy. :v: [editline]23rd November 2010[/editline]
Hey Shugo. If anyone else comes up with a suitable replacement, though, I'll consider it.
How does the minigun work anyway? I don't see a trigger on any of the handles.
Triggers would be pretty awkward to use on a high power gun that shoots rapidly. Big guns like miniguns and 50 caliber machine guns use buttons instead of triggers. They aren't really precision tools. It'd be in the handle as a button. Probably left out because it's such an little detail in low detail handle that it would just look bad. You don't see the little screws and bolts being modeled either, that's how little this button would be. Not to mention heavys big hands would be over that tiny button so you wouldn't see it. Why waste polygons on such a teeny button?

a golden badge should be gold, not cheddar cheese orange
Now just to wait LT_C's finished textures(which might take a while), and seeing if I can get that one jigglebone working. Also the reason heavy calls the minigun sasha is because originally it was going to be the default minigun, but sometime during the finishing touches they changed it to the iron curtain but didn't bother to re-record the voice lines.
[img_thumb]http://img638.imageshack.us/img638/7705/etproblem.jpg[/img_thumb] My cloak is literally a single pixel from running out, but the meter on the watch says I have about a second of cloak left. Did they not catch this early? Whatever. It seems to always have a piece of it enabled. Anyone know how to fix it, besides modifying the textures, because I already did that.
You shouldn't consider this a bug. Watch closely how the DR visual meter behaves. You'll be even more surprised.
You shouldn't consider this a bug. Watch closely how the DR visual meter behaves. You'll be even more surprised.
I think someone should make a watch viewmodel fix.
I think someone should make a watch viewmodel fix.
It's a c_model, so you can't. Although I don't know why. Someone tell me.
It's a c_model, so you can't. Although I don't know why. Someone tell me.
Nope, watches are not c_models.
Nope, watches are not c_models.
Yet. Check out c_spy_arms. They have offhand animations. They aren't subtracted, but oh well.
Dat clipping.
[img_thumb]http://www.majhost.com/gallery/icemonster/tf2screens/shades.png[/img_thumb] Dat clipping.
This proves that Demoman's Fro is superior.
This proves that Demoman's Fro is superior.
Never said it wasn't. I own both. :smug: But, it still would be nice if someone could tilt the hat up or something to avoid the clipping.
I had an idea, but a pretty silly one, you know how the Dangersque clips with the Hallmark? I thought it would be possible just to slightly cut off the top part of the glasses so it would look good for the Hallmark, I'm not too worried about the other hats!
It would look good for the Hallmark, I'm not too worried about the other hats!
Will look stupid if others wear it without the Hallmark ingame tho.
I know but I care more about my look more then others!
To be honest I think the shades look best with the Capotain. :v:
Looks better with neodement's dreads.
