Is that good?

Yeah, that looks great.
I figure changing the alpha mask to something like this for the backpack icons could work:
[img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1961029/Mods/pyrolean_icon.png[/img_thumb]
It would mean adding a new texture to designate transparency though.
Of course, this isn't possible but I think it's something Valve could do very easily.
Edit: Image is taking it's time uploading.
God black and white merryweather is sex.
Should you snip it then?
I considered that, but that way people won't know what I'm talking about. Besides, it's not really visible when thumbnailed.

Exactly what I thought - how did you disable the lighting though? Even when I $selfillum there's a tint.
Can somebody combine the [img_thumb]http://alphastudiossoftware.nl/emporium/shuttershades.png[/img_thumb](just the dreadlocks) with the to get something like this: [img_thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/0/03/TPainVMASept08.jpg/220px-TPainVMASept08.jpg [/img_thumb]
"VertexlitGeneric"
{
"$baseTexture" "models/player/items/pyro/pyro_pyrolean.vtf"
}
I just removed everything, I dunno if that's bad or not though. I think there's still *some* shading, and selfillum didn't work for me.

And the dreadlocks?
Oh I see
And now for the good news and the bad news.

The good news are that almost all of the tools are done. Just the paint bucket that are creeping me out with that paint dripping off and the gift wrap is not good yet.
The bad news is that I can not export it from 3DSMax and make then an in game working item.
I was working with Insanecide to do it but he's too much busy with school work at the moment, what I totally understand the lack of time.
So, I thought on asking you guys if someone, preferentially someone I thrust (friend list, hello) would like to help me with it, or the tools can wait a little more? Some re-size job and mapping will be needed too.
So, I ask this last time, and if no one responds, I'll just go away and stuff,
Anyone willing to do up Greaser hair for Scout? Think like Butch (Fallout 3).
And hey, if it means plopping a hound dog on his head go for it
Change the light colour to 100% black, change the ambient colour to 100% white to remove any shadows on the black and white model.

if you're talking about the textures, yeah they're nice but they look like they're applied by an autistic man who found a paintbrush

Where do you buy planks of wood that size?
For the two people who care, I just updated my non-wizard hat for the Medic to be paintable. I also made some changes to the brim so it looked less sharp. Compiling a screenshot of every color would take a while, so here's one with just the red Team Spirit paint instead.

I like how he didn't even make the textures, they're just ones from Half-Life 2.
Exactly, they're also scaled way too big and thus look blurry.

unfortunately it doesn't fit anyone other than scout.
Replaces Scout's secondary, but gives him a triple jump?
