A sugestion (once again sorry, but i have to point this out) would be to place the skull on a lower position, so it's not confusing to aim for the "hitbox" head
Just make the skull a jawbone, and make it his head. then peoples hats will still work

*sigh* why doesn't people read, like i said IT'S THE HAT i didn't do anything to or with it.

and i'm fairly sure the head hitbox is big enough to get a HS even when aiming on the hat
also quite honestly i think it looks good up there on the skeleton model (not on the demo though)

I haven't modeled this, i hexed it and modified some textures, i cant model at all
if someone who did model or even knew how to fix the major issues ATM would help me then sure

Crap, that's a hard decision. One one hand I get my Professor Layton Hat, but on the other hand, I get a fully-white Top Hat. (Which, in it's own way, is pretty cool)

Valve should add alternative ways of painting each hat. That's just my opinion though.

For example, let's say you wish to paint the Vintage Merryweather.
When you select it to paint, it gives you a few preview images on what they will look like. One will be just the black part of the Merryweather changed, the other part will be that part AND the golden rims around the entire hat painted.
Would not only increase the variety of hat designs, but would suit many people's personal preferences much more.
Any chance of the PolyCount hats becoming paintable?

Our only salvation will be this fix.

i did some playtesting with the current skeledemo:
note 1: the spine chilling skull hat is only that high up in model viewer
note 2: Having the grenade launcher in the crouch make the "kaboom" taunt more fun
note 3: spine chilling skull + dangeresce glasses looks super trippy
(only note 1 is relevant however)
