British food is really a mismatch of food from throughout the empire that has changed and evolved over time. For example, many people would consider fish and chips to be the most famous British food, but in my opinion curry and chinese food are just as representative of Britain as cod and chips wrapped in newspaper. British curry is supposedly very different to traditional Indian curry.
