Guys, you aren't finding the right people.
I got a prodecure mask off 17 , tossle off 7, and whiskers off 19.
I was thinking of impletmenting a wood system. Something among the lines of 3 crates = 1 old wood. 3 old wood = 1 chopped wood. 3 chopped wood = 1 log. 3 logs = 2 scrap metal. To keep people from spamming this process and colleting shit tons of crates to craft alot of random hats, you should get a wood limit per week, like you can only craft 6 logs per week, giving you only 4 peices of scrap per week. A low income, but its better then having a butt load of crates collecting dust in your backpack.
That is fucking stupid.
Brb guys, gonna go get some logs to make metal somehow

Because smashing together two jars of piss, or a chocolate bar and a sandwich to make metal isn't fucking stupid.

haha, yeah.
Still, that whole wood idea is stupid.
ooh, and crafting three wood gets you a crate!
Nono, obviously you craft one wood, one class token and one slot token for a crate containing a random weapon of that type.
Or four refined wood for a crate with a random hat.
IMO, there should be an option on your backpack where you choose if you want crates to drop for you or not, so instead of a crate you'll get a normal item like you'd do before crates existed.
Either that or drop normal keys that allow you to open crates but get less important stuff than the bought keys.
It's the way that you could trade a crate, and see the player you traded it too get a rare item or an item you wanted and all you got instead was something crappy like a backburner, I saw a guy unbox an Unusual Football Helm who had given another unfortunate guy a fucking sandvich that gets me
true story
I uncrated 3 hats in a row (Tossle, Shako, Goggles) last night, a nice change from the usual crap I get from them.
Crates will not be craftable, I think people just have to accept that. Less crates = less money, and Valve are proving right now they care more for money than anything else. It saddens me to say that, but it's true.
i have 10 S1 crates 6 S2 crates 4 S3 crates 4 S4 crates and 5 S5 crates, that's 29 crates so i need 29 keys to open them all up but that will cost me £57.71 NICE ONE VALVE GOOD JOB!
well you'll be happy to know you won't be able to open them all in one go, there's a monthly cap I think
2 crates of same series = 1 scrap metal
problem solved
Goddamn crates eating up my drops until I get to the cap with nothing of value. :argh:
