it was, but only for demo/soldier. It didn't become all class until last winter.

Fletcher said the steampipe update was the apocalypse because TF2 is actually getting optimised
I completely forgot soldier could use it too. For me it will always be a demo weapon.
Actually Saxxy is the only all class melee.
About the moneys: yes, that guy tried to buy my account. He tried to stalk my friend who also got it, because he lives in the same city he does. His nickname is Rins. We were in one replay category and when I got announced as winner he became whining to me if I can add him to the credits (even if his video was next to mine and one per category rule).
Man, he changed his nickname to Sad Rins, than Very sad Rins, than Very [x2] sad Rins and kept like that for half of the year! He already has Golden Wrench and he is into rare weapons. Guess what's he is doing now? He claimed himself as "VS Saxton Hale" creator (who is actually Dr. Rainbolt Dash, birdcage co-creator) and... asked him to be added in co-creators for an SFM movie about Saxton. They got to the finals in comedy, but someone overdid him. Again ;). His plans? Study SFM? Nope, he said he will keep looking for good videos next year and whine about adding him to the contributors list.
Wow. There is a line to be drawn between collecting rare stuff like Unusuals or rare promos and stalking people to get a Self Made/Saxxy or investing in expensive Kickstarters because you care about the promo instead of the product (Rift, Skullgirls).
...Hey. This gives me an idea for a stalker/hoarder themed Hat Wearing Man to make over Spring Break.

Freedom Staff/that sign thing?
Freedom Staff/that sign thing?
Spy and Engineer, though.
Freedom Staff/that sign thing?
He meant technically all class, as including Spy and Engie. Freedom Staff and the Sign are not usable by those classes.
Oh, gotcha. Learn something new everyday!

Stoopid internet problems

Skullgirls maybe but no one knew that the rift had a promo when the kickstarter was live.
I for one asked for a refund on the skullgirls gogo because I found the whole thing at best unprofessional and at worst deceiving.
All class: Saxxy
All except Spy and Engineer: freedom stuff, meat, objector, bat outta hell, memory maker, frying pan
Yes I got it thank you
By optimised i hope they mean "removing the pointless bodygroup for the medal on soldier/bullets on sniper + switching over to c_models/more lods" and not just stuffing everything onto vpk
and reducing the massive amount of overdraw on particles

Wait, THAT guy?
I'm pretty sure I remember a guy named Rins begging me for credits on the wishmaker too
oh man lol

And guess how lucky I am: I used to live in the same city and he was on my friendlist.
here he is.
Wait, his video IS in finals, he got the rarest weapon in game and he tried to get to YOUR video too? What did he want? I remeber he said "I was the inspiration" (yeah, sure), camera man, director, that sniper on background etc.
This man is kinda sad. When I see people like this I can draw a line between TF2 and WoW. I thought I would never meet people like that...

Why would someone...ask for credit if they didn't do any work? Why?

attention.
people are always after the fucking attention

What about the original set of saxxies, didn't they come out in 2011?
so CSGO is getting pay2play community maps
hmm... that's... kind of bad if they bring it to TF2

Dl...
fucking Cs?!
At least that won't happen on tf2, because they have varius sources of money

We already have a gamemode that restricts players into "paid a dollar to be here" and "didn't spend money" though.

...Really?
Maybe it's pay to play so when it comes as DLC for the Console versions those owners of CS:GO don't feel fucked over?
On a Poker Night 2 related note, if you all remember that Valve just recently announced their early access program on Steam, I believe the Poker Night 2 Steam Entry mentioned early access. In which case, I'm intrigued as to why the promos were added so early? Will they give them so soon to people who test the game?
Well, if that's the case, and it's announced at PAX on the 22nd, the early access will probably go public that night. In which case I'll be getting it right off the bat. Might get Don't Starve and some Mann Up tickets too.
Here's a good question: Does Valve still actually care about TF2 beyond the immoderate sums of revenue they rake in from the least effort possible?

wait what where when

What
What
Mann Up Mode I think.
What
MvM
There should definitely be a pessimistic icon for Lord Exor.
MvM, Steampipe, and VR are all huge projects.
To think that a small company (employee-wise) can be the biggest online distributor of games, develop a game like Dota 2, port all of their games to Linux, and continue to one-up and reinvent what they already do so well; would continue to regularly update a game that is as old as TF2 is more than you could ask of any other company the size of Valve. Yet you ask for more. At least wait till Dota 2 is out of beta before you start saying that they've abandoned a game that they clearly have not.

MvM is finished; SteamPipe is a project that extends beyond TF2; and VR is a gimmick that isn't even widespread. Ultimately, these things are all comparatively easier than balancing weapons and maps, which Valve has stressed in interviews that they're less concerned with--BECAUSE it's difficult. That's laziness.

There's a difference between laziness and knowing your limits.
It would be lazy of them if they did release consistent weapons with stats, because they'd all have no thought put in. Valve is known for putting a lot of creativity in their work.
[sp]uber update[/sp]

Except you don't have to pay, you can trade to get tickets too.
