Do you assume players with hats = expert of that class - Games

I just do better if I have a hat. E.g. I used to suck major cat balls befoe I got my toque. And yes, I do assume that a player with a hat is pro shit.

For some reason pot-head and tyrant helm Soldiers have been the most destructive and hard to kill Soldiers I've come across.

In a sense this is true, I guess if you like a class the most it's more likely you'll have a hat for it, as you'll either craft hats for that class or craft other hats from classes you don't play to get more hats for that one class. Meaning you must play that class quite a bit. It's a stupid thing to assume but I do it all the time, I play scout all the time, sadly I used to have hats for the scout, I got a random hatless drop for the scout and then crafted another scout hat and it was also a hatless :@. So I ended up crafting those two together and got the medic's mirror. Sad if I had waited a bit longer I would have got my other hat drop which I could've crafted. Although after crafting that with the medic mirror thingy I did get the Killer Kabuto so I'm kinda happy.

It's overrated because it shuns the other hats of that class when they're just as good anyway.

Fear my Kabuto :science: For some reason I have 80% chance of a rocket landing a Direct Hit on enemies. Some soldiers I see with hats are insane good so I assume the same.

We need the tophat included as a separate hat from the Towering Pillar of Hats/Noble Amassmant of hats. The hat that's really really tall :v: Available for the Spy.

It kinda goes along with this: I always sucked as Demoman, but once I got my first hat for him, I always wanted to play as him, got better, and a few complements along the way, and now I am pretty good with him. Mabey that is why you, I, and many people feel this way.

When I get an awesome hat for one class, it makes me want to get better at playing that class, so I'm worth wearing that hat. Gotta do some heavy grenade practice so I don't look stupid with that Hallmark. I suck at playing Demo. :saddowns:

It's bad, but every time I see someone with the Gibus I assume they're a dirty scrub who can't play. Often this isn't the case, but the gibus just screams n00b to me.

You have a better chance of getting hats if you've played since 07. You also have a better chance of having a high skill if you've played since 07.

I have hat as a medic and people seem to like me more than when I didn't have the hat.

Only Hat I have is Tyrolean ... well kinda applies. I'm a decent Medic.

i'm assuming they have expertise with the game overall. Since you normally don't get a hat as your first item.

I thought hats were just for decorating your character for funny result and not a sign of rank :v: I don't heal people with earbuds though, they're obviously too busy listening to their music :v

I have the Shoots Sola Topi but I'm a horrible Sniper so what I do most of the time is change my name to Nigel Thornberry and go into a random server and throw piss at people and kill with them the shiv whilst micspamming the Wild Thornberries theme song.

yeah, automatically. I know it doesn't apply at all, but I can't help it. I prefer to heal someone with a hat. Beside, if he doesn't have a hat it could be because he hasn't played the game for long. Could. Not always.

I have a spy hat and I would say I am very good as a spy, no expert though. But i do see people with hats who are useless and bring down the team

The Saigns` arena server (and the others) usually only have poor and irish players with the gibus(urk,it reeks of poor).sometimes i see this heavy with the Hound Dog,and he`s slightly better(actually survivrs long enough to make a difference,responds to voice commands etc..) but my friend and i seem like the only team players with unique (when heavies that is).I got a Tough guy`s toque and the other`s got a ushanka.together we win,but the occasional W+M1.so yeah,either someone with a powerful hat is good,or friendlies.friendlies with hats is just domination comin` right up!
