They wouldn't put a new weapon that transforms people into gold if it was just a pre-order item.

I might get Monkey Island whether I get the item or not, because I really like most of the other old Lucas Arts point and click games. But I don't think it'll be a preorder item, because there are only two days left until it's unlocked on Steam, and Valve won't say "PREORDER THE GAME AND GET THE GOLDEN WRENCH HURRY THE FUCK UP" when there's about a day left. :v:

Victims only turn to gold when they die. I've always wanted something like this for the Pyro, only it's an icethrower. Works like the normal flamethrower only it freezes players solid when they die.

The Sam and Max items were basic skins and if they'd ass a golden wrench from the Monkey Island game it wouldn't be a TF2 wrench painted gold, it would be the fucking wrench from the Monkey Island game.
