It's actually not that difficult, it's just a marathon of a stage. A single misstep means you restart.
It's probably one of the sole reasons why people wanted checkpoints so badly.
And it's one of the primary reasons why I didn't like the retro challenges being immediately after the stages, Runner 2 addressed that by making the retro challenges separate and the perfect bonus challenge is a cannon-firing minigame instead.

Since equipping the shields allows you to upgrade damage on your melees, it doesn't matter.
However, since you can get crits on kill upgrades for melees, the shield damage is laughable compared to a string of melee crits, so the resistances keeping you alive is arguably better.
Demoknight only has trouble when it comes to giants. Otherwise, the loadout makes Demoman into a berserker to the fullest degree.

I always use the Loch-N-Load against the Giants, Tanks and Heavies, the rest can be taken on with a Targe+Eyelander, and a upgraded Loch-N-Load seriously wrecks shit.

Dude it was so much fun we actually beat the whole round on Mannworks with like 1 failure.
Best team ever would totally play with again.
A random pub took your place when you bugged out and he just seemed rather confused by it all. He went Heavy for Mannworks and didn't say a word but he helped the Legion of Demoknights achieve victory.
