Havent played custom maps in a long time, mind posting the IP and I might play on it sometime whenever I can.

Experiment with stupid loadout ideas.

Can ya suggest any good discoveries you'd made?
Start an eccentric collection, like me.
It's always interesting, only thing is that you have to occasionally deal with... outpost.

I usually change up my interp, hud, hitsound and picmip settings. works enough

Sometimes it happens to me until I find a server with maps I like. I like orange maps and found a server with loads of custom and good orange maps so I'm playing more lately.

Interesting list. How active are the servers?

One particularly stupid one I like is using the sticky jumper to get behind people then melee'ing them with the Loch n Load.

Uhm... what?
Uhm... what?
A pal of mine thought it was a blast to stand and spawn doors and spam LnL shots. The person coming out would either die instantly or get hurt enough to backoff.
So I challenged him to use it strictly as a melee weapon, like Soldiers do with the Direct Hit. Melee range only. Pretty fun.
Interesting list. How active are the servers?
Its very new and still rather unknown. But yesterday we managed to get around 16 players on it. Not that much, but it was really fun though.
In a different forum, the people sometimes make a little event where they play together. Im planning on contributing our server to that, so theres a good chance that the server will be full.

Besides, i need a cool grey/white badge or something for my Scout. Any ideas? I kinda like the Space Chem pin.

I can write in to the thread when prollgurke and i play :P
or u can join the group - we make a event when we play...! ;)

sorry for my broken english :/
I play TF2 entirely vanilla. No mods at all.
I just feel it's a game that doesn't need mods to be fun, it's great as is.
Not that mods aren't the best thing since sliced bread, i just hardly find any worth getting.
Custom Maps = No Mods :P
But i know what u mean..
Yeah its just this: I played TF2 for more than 2000 hours now and [EU] PL only! Gold/Barn/Dust or 2frot 34/7 and CP_maps only - Players: 0/24 get kinda boring.
All the custom maps (except one or two fun maps like whalerace) on our server are well balanced, fit the TF2 theme and are really fun to play. Some maps are even better than some default maps Id say.
Beside the custom maps, there are no mods at all.

We have some plugins...
RockTheVote,Nominate and a "rank".
i find myself missing this game a lot.
i really miss when class updates would come out and i'd farm for achievements 'till i got all the weapons. i remember getting all the medic achievements and being one of the few people with an ubersaw.
the teamfortress.com posts about new weapons and updates were exciting as fuck. even hats were cool when they first came out and trading didn't exist. they didn't have monetary value and were just a cool thing you saw occasionally and hoped to get yourself, and hat drops were exciting as fuck.
i WANT to like this game again but it's just completely lost its charm for me. i really do think the game becoming economy-driven killed the fun and changed the general motives of the community. there were a few cool updates here and there like the medieval update, meet the medic, halloween, etc, but it doesn't engage me enough to keep me playing again. no multiplayer game i've played since has matched what TF2 was.
at least i'm still looking forward to that 15 minute SFM thing they're working on though. its good to know that they didn't plan to stop with meet the pyro.
[editline]21st February 2013[/editline]
i also miss the FHAIT community even though i hate the way i used to act back then.
I actually love those wacky custom maps, like koth_megaman. But barely any EU servers run custom maps, and the ones that do are almost always empty.
its hard finding good servers with a decent map rotation

Yea we try to start a little community...hope the server will be filled in 1-2Month every day :)!

Well, I joined shortly before the Uber Update (I'm almost F2P) and I don't really feel like the game's changed at all. I feel like traders and hats and other silly things have always been around.

I still enjoy the game despite the "economy" shit, which is very easy to ignore. You just gotta play away from trading servers and not care about cosmetics with pretty glowing effects.
Now I might have a few hats myself, but I generally just don't give two shits about the trading side and just play the game for what it is. Yep, still fun as it was to begin with.

That's because you joined shortly before the uber update.

I would disagree with this. While it is mostly the same game, I feel most of the weapons detract rather than add to the 'fun-ness' of the game.
In that most of them might be a spot 'o' fun to use, but not any fun to have used against you, and servers are always just packed with people using nothing but unlocks. No Scout, running around with the soda popper, guillotine and sandman is not helping the team, you are useless, no I do not enjoy the off occasion you actually hit me with that junker combo. Soldier, stop being a useless piece of shit 'trolldier' because you saw star do it, you are being a useless shitheap, nobody likes it when you do rarely get a kill. No pyro, I don't enjoy you airblasting me and then shooting me with a flare etc etc etc
most of these actions are somewhat fun to perform but just feel cheap on the off-chance they actually get you, because they are. I'm not saying they're unbalanced, I'm saying it overall makes the game less fun
Am I considered an oldfag if I played TF2 for a few hours on the Xbox in 08' and started playing it regularly in early 2011 and joined PC TF2 in the uber update? Also the transition was crazy, felt like I was playing TF3 my first few days playing PC TF2. Airblast, upgradeable dispensers and teles, NEW WEAPONS, new maps, end round crits. Shame none of you will experience the joy that is doing that exploit in Dustbowl that allowed you to build a sentry nest flotaing by the silo in Stage 1 dustbowl

S'Why I play exclusively on trade servers and instaspawn 2fort.
The bottom of the barrel where fighting happens and no one cares about dying or any objective because they're up and atom seconds later to wander into the same death.
It's a pretty good feeling, and server regulars are fine too.
TF2 is boring nowadays, I rarely have fun in it anymore

If I setup a partnership on my channel I have no idea how much I would earn.
Would not be worth it tho, I would have to take down 80% of content due to copyright.

YouTube cut my partnership because of an 'invalid adsense account', which is bull since I wasn't even monetizing my videos.
Bye bye, custom thumbnails. :v:
