I finished all campaings on Expert in Left 4 Dead 2 with only bots, dropped a hat in TF2 and bought Strange Invis Watch for 10 Keys.

Then he asks if he can get a medic hat as well. I add a surgeon's stahlhelm. Then he asks for my team captain. I say no. He asks for my white bill's hat, and say I can remove 5 keys.
After some haggling I finally trade 2 buds + 18 keys + white bill's hat + surgeons stahlhelm for it.

You should have just paid his buyout, there's no reason he should've made you pay more, or that you would have been ok with it as it is.

Sorry if this is a bad thing to say, but: What you did is awful. This guy was obviously a greedy cunt, yet you've given in.
That's probably the reason why item prices are increasing. Someone is being greedy, someone else is being kind, decides to pay the price and thus everyone else selling the same item increas their price too.

Most of the time they come scrawling back anyways with some bullshit excuse.
Well, to be fair I just wanted the hat, and all the other people who had one up for trade had a higher buyout. I still get a lower price for it, than I would have if I payed for the other peoples buyout.
