Sounds more like a VTF error than texture errors. Are you trying to recolor the hands?

Would just alphaing the entire existing texture then adding the transparent commands to the model work? If not, I heard you can't make them transparent through normal means, and there's a script somewhere that makes all the viewmodels transparent.

I believe that is an issue everyone is having.
Apparently, some of the ads also have a nasty case of malware. Skial, being them, are refusing to take down the pinion ads on their servers because they consider money more important than potentially ruining hundreds of computers.
So I'd advise not going to to servers that host them and in the case of Skial send a komodo dragon to each supporter of skial with a note that says "Fuck yourself with this."

Sorry for the late reply, I lack a key so I guess I'll have to wait for them to be dime a dozen.
Just now, I cleared an entire sentry nest (Like 4 engineers, shit tons of stuff and players) only using wrangler and my trustworthy sentry, 5 minutes of intense action of them trying to get back by going heavy and shit came just after this. Fun as heck.

I tried defragging tf2 and also closing steam before shutting down the pc.
Both seemed to work but you'd have to close steam like everytime before you shut down your pc.

I'll try defragging and closing Steam. I mean recently when Steam crashed before I wanted to shut down my PC (convenient), the next day the game launched just fine.
I'm also guessing that as soon as TF2 uses SteamPipe, it'll be fixed.
pl_poodoo is the worst map ever
it's just hoodoo, but everything is brown, the cart's a plate of poop and the little dip before last point on the first section of the map is filled with piss
I just close Steam before turning off my PC and it works...
I feel happy knowing I've never experienced the validating plague.
